Question about Sanyo 18KS52 Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Sanyo KHS0922 HVAC unit won't stay on

I think we may have the settings on the remote jacked up and need instruction manual or help to set the setting right. There are four switches/settings and we can't get them right to keep the unit running. It needs to warm a room with plants in it during this cold weather. I can't find the instruction manual and need help setting the switches correctly.

Dave did you ever have the problem amended? I have the same unit and teh same problem. It will run through one cycle once the temperature on the remote is adjusted, but then it seems to quit, sometimes even keeping the fan on low without the heater coils on. It is annoying to wake up in the morning to a house that is 60 degrees!!

Honeywell TH8320U Thermostat

The Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 Digital Thermostat is a fully programmable thermostat that is so easy to use that you might think that it is reading your mind as you work with it.

This intuitive logic responds to you as you program this thermostat and helps you to do what you wan to do. The instruction manual almost becomes a thing of the past. This thermostat also will learn your building and HVAC system. It then adjusts to keep your temperature within 1 degree F of the set point. This will give you the best in comfort. The comfort is achieved while still giving you the very best is efficiency. In some cases efficiency has been increased by up to 30% by simply installing this thermostat.

The fan can be programmed separately for increased comfort when running an electronic air cleaner or a humidifier. A 35% circulator mode is also available. Hold options will let you easily go on vacation or temporarily override the programmed settings. The vacation setting will even let you set it to go back to the schedule before you get home. There are also built in reminders for many of the things that need scheduled maintenance.

If you are thinking about or have a dual fuel set up or a heat pump furnace set up, then this is the thermostat for you. With the addition of an outdoor sensor you can set the thermostat to switch from one heat source to the other at whatever temperature you set.
This feature will eliminate the need for “change over kits” extra relays, etc… when you are setting up a system that has a backup heat source.

This thermostat will also allow you to run it from the power of your HVAC system or run it on battery power. Just hook up the common wire and the thermostat will run off of your HVAC system. The changeover of the unit from A/C to heat can be programmed to be either manual or automatic. Scheduling of the program can be done in many different ways. You can decide between 1 day, 7 day, 5+2, or 5+1+1, day. Four periods, 2 periods per day or nonprogrammable are all options also.

The keyboard can be locked completely or partially. With the purchase of additional sensors you can wire up remote indoor sensors. These can also be wired to average the temperature is you want to sample the temperature from more than one place. An outdoor sensor can be installed so that you can see from your thermostat the outdoor temperature.

A five year manufacturers warranty is standard and you will also get a thermostat that has earned the energy star rating.

Error c5

C05 error indicates no communication between indoor and outdoor units and remote control. Replace the remote batteries with fresh duracells first. If that doesn't fix the problem, verify the indoor and outdoor unit are wired together properly. If still no love, a tech will need to come visit. CALL SANYO TO SCHEDULE A TECH IF NEEDED. Mini-split units are new to the industry, and not all HVAC techs are good at fixing them.

How to change the temperature without remote control on air condition Sanyo KS1872?

The same controls that are on the hand held remote are also on the unit below the LED screen. However, you may need to manually turn the ON/OF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 10 minutes, so that the electronics will revert back to the original factory settings. So, the control panel on the unit will activate for manual use.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I need a remote control part # rcs-4hvpis4u for a sanyo air conditioner

Hi Aldercarima, If you are needing a remote control, any generic remote with multi unit capabilty would suit. The generic remote will search out the AC;s code and adjust itself to the correct settings. Your local refrigeration equipment supplier should be able to provide a unit for you. regards Col www.digitalcontrols.com.au

Cannot set a/c to operate automatically

sound to be in heat modenow. If you are after the cool mode, then if you have a cool setting and a heat temp setting, Lower the heat to almost off and set the cool setting to 74 degrees. See if the outside coils get warm. Make sure you are off manualo and n auto. If it runs, give it some time and the tenp of the outside coil will rise and the inside will get cold. Food Luck

REMOTE CONTROL SYMBOLS?

Yes my unit shows a snowflake, bucket with squares (my husband thinks it is a fire bucket), fan (which we know about), and a sun. Does the snowflake mean-use in winter, or does the sun mean-heat ? We have a ComfortStar and the only booklet that we got is the technical manual which does not help us.
