Mamiya RZ 67 lens is stuck on body

Hi.  I have a mint RZ67 with 110mm lens, which I baby.
I haven't shot with it for a while, though, and I picked it up recently and found that I can't advance the film or release the shutter.  Also, I cannot remove the lens.
THe lens lock does not rotate all the way to the release position.
I have not dropped the camera and nothing has happened to it that I can think of.
Thanks, Jordan camera back will not rotate

Same thing happened to me and has happened again - the first time I tried to force it and ended up with $400 worth of repairs...this time I'm not forcing it but have no idea what to do.

The solution is simple. The battery is dead, so just change the battery.

SOURCE: Mamiya RZ 67 lens is stuck on body

This is likely because the shutter has not been cocked all the way. Return the lens to the fully locked position and advance the film with the lever all the way down to reset the shutter. If it still doesn't work, move the lever to M for multiple exposure, make sure the back is aligned and trip the shutter release. Then fully **** the shutter again by pressing the advance lever down fully and again until it is reset. Then try to remove the lens again.

Not something you can do your self as it involves removing the case. Would be useful to have it serviced cleaned and calibrated. Nice camera, I have a Bronica ETR 645.

I have a mamiya RZ Pro two and I am looking to find a digital back for it. If you could offer any guidance and advice I would be very greatful as there seems to be very little help for th RZ film...

Currently . You need a digital back adapter (approx.$1500.00+ US) then the digital back itself (Approx. 25,000+ US). yes that is correct!. THe RZ67 Pro II needs the DM56 adaptor then the DM 56 back itself. Why not check out the all new RZ22 (22mp) or the RZ33(33mp). The RZ22 is approximately $12,000.00 US and the RZ33 around $18,000.00. Hasselblad also make a 39 and a 50mp digital medium format, expect to pay 2-3 times that of a Mamiya. For a 35mm type dSLR, Nikon just introduce the D3X with 24.5 megapixals. The body alone runs anywhere from $6,500-$8000 US.

Aperture diaphram on mamiya secor lens 80mm f/2.8

The lens has a lever marked A/M near the aperture ring. If the lever is in the 'A' position, the lens will stay wide open until you trip the control lever at the back of the lens next to the rear optics. In the 'M' setting, you can see the aperture move as you change the f-stop setting on the ring. Set the lens to anything but wide open and move the control lever with your finger. You should see that aperture move.
