SanDisk 4gb Flash Drive error on VR3 CD Player in Car

I drive a 1990 Buick LeSabre and I have a VR 3 CD Player in the car. Whenever I plug in the SanDisk 4gb Flash Drive (only mp3's and wma files on it), after track 8 I get an Error-13. I've even pressed and held the reset button for 30 seconds and absolutely nothing happened, still get that Error 13. I've put the Flash Drive into a different vehicle, with the same CD player and it worked just fine. How do I fix this?

Well, that same flash drive worked in the exact same type of cd player just in 3 other vehicles.

Vr3 VR500CS-BT manual

VR3 lists two manuals for the VR500CS-BT, Bluetooth In-Dash CD player and AM/FM receiver, depending on when the unit was built. All of the manuals are available here: http://www.vr-3.com/product.php?p=VR500CSBT . The original product manual (2007) is here: http://www.vr-3.com/downloads/VR500CS-BT_eng.pdf . The direct link to the first generation VR500CS-BT (2008) manual is: http://www.vr-3.com/downloads/VR500CS-BT_rev_eng.pdf .

I hope this helps.

How do download music from my memory stick to my computer

I think the function is actually "upload" but that's just perception. When I plug a memory stick in, it opens up a dialog box that lets mey "sync" the music files, or just open up the device to look at files.
Since I know that most music has extensions of .mp3 .wma .wav etc, I can find and copy them to the hard drive on my computer with the usual copy commands.

It's pretty easy after you do it a couple of times.

The sandisk flash memory drive i bought had 1 threat on it, so i format it..I then loaded songs on it but could not play on my car mp3 player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Trying to up date drivers on drive to windows 7

You really shouldn't need any software to View and Cut, Copy, Paste files to your 4GB Flash Drive. You can usually use these Flash Drives just as you would a DVD, CD, or Disk. When you first plug in your 4GB drive, it should be detected and should automatically install the "Drivers" and then, it should show up as a "Drive" in "My Computer". If this doesn't happen then you have "Other" problems. Check that the drive is OK by trying it in another machine.

How to download from CD

There are many ways to do this. If you are using a windows product and load a cd in media player there is a rip cd function that allows you to convert the .cda tracks on a compact disc to a file that will work on your Sansa. Media player defaults to a Wma but can be set to other formats. The highest bit rate available for an mp3 is 320 Kbps. I use this when creating an mp3. Once the rip is complete you can plug in your sansa and media player will detect it and you sync to the device. You can also go to your music folder and manually copy and paste or drag and drop to the player just like your were accessing a flash drive.

SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB USB plugged it, light on, but shows an empty file in windows with capacity of 0bytes Also shows a CD drive (the one that U3 runs) which says nothing is in disk drive.

It is likely an issue with the filesystem. The FAT filesystem gets easily corrupted. If that's the case, reformatting it with FAT32 should help. But remember - reformatting erases all the data, so don't do it if you have anything important on the drive!

Computer won't convert music on flash drive

Try to put the files directly in the Music folder inside My Computer>Player device, from the flash drive, just to be safe make sure they are in mp3 or wma file format also.
