Question about Acer TravelMate 662LCi Notebook
Does the ctl alt del work if you try then during the early part of the start up process, before Windows loads? If they do then I would suspect a problem with Windows as a result of your previous infection OR perhaps you are still infected with something. You can easily eliminate most infections by running complete hard drive scans using virus, spyware and root-kit scanners. I would suggest trying AVG?s free versions of each which can be downloaded here: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/. If the ctl alt del key sequence does not work during the boot process you may just have a keyboard that is going bad. Of the 20 plus laptop keyboards that have I have replaced over the years only two were due to physical damage. The rest just developed bad keys, usually clustered together and usually getting worse over time. Here is a link to a keyboard tester program. This should confirm if the keys are bad: http://www.softplatz.com/Soft/Utilities/Other/Keyboard-Tester.html Let us know if you have any other questions and don?t forget to rate this post.
