Could be a number of things. I would try looking in printer settings first. Click on your printer, go to properties and check all settings, it may be set to do this or similar. If no go, try uninstalling and reinstalling it, or just turning it off and unplugging, replugging and turn on again can often reset irregulariites. Also try resetting default printer settings too.

Right from HP Follow the steps which are given in the below, in the order presented, to correctly complete a print cartridge alignment. 1. Turn on the HP PSC 1350 series product. 2. Disconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one. 3. Press the sequence of front panel buttons below to initiate the print cartridge alignment process. The button-press sequence must be completed within ten seconds. It might take several tries to complete the sequence within ten seconds. a. Press and hold Cancel. b. While holding Cancel, press On. c. When the Check Paper and Check Print Cartridge lights begin to blink simultaneously, release both buttons. d. Press Cancel again. e. Press Copies. f. Press Paper Type. g. Press Color Start Copy. h. The alignment page will begin printing. If the alignment page does not print, repeat the button-press sequence in this step. 4. Once the alignment page is printed, place the page face down on the scanner glass and press Scan. The alignment is complete when the On light stops blinking. 5. Reconnect the USB cable. Now, after performing all the instructions check the functionality.

I don't want test copies made everytime I turn my printer on.

Follow the directions thoroughly when printing the test page.

The test page will print every time when there are ink cartridge/alignment issues such as an empty cartridge.

Prints test copy every time I switch it on.

All right so you are getting print test copy every time you turn on or switch on your printer. You can follow the following steps to fix this issue:-

1.. Turn off the printer and wait 10 seconds. Turn it on again

2. Let the printer print the test page.

3. After the test page is printed, disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer. DO NOT turn off the printer while disconnecting the USB cable.

4. Place the test page on the scanner glass and press the SCAN button on the printer. The ON light will flash as the page is being scanned.

5. Remove the test page when the ON light is steady.

6. Finally, turn off the printer and wait another 10 seconds. Then turn it on again. No more printing test pages! Yay!

(You may now reconnect the printer to your computer via the USB cable.)

let me know if it fix this issue and helpful to you.

Solution for printer

* Does the same issue persists while printing from all applications?

* Does the unit print the self test page properly? Steps are given below
* Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
* Press and hold Cancel on the printer control panel.
* Press Start Color Copy .
* Release both buttons. The self-test page prints.

Please get back to me with the above information. I can solve this problem....

All of a sudden it will not print but as soon as u turn the printer on it prints like a test page

may be you chaged the catridge.
It is not the test page it is alignment test page just put the printed alignment test page paper on scanner glass and press the scan button to complete the process. It is alignment process which is printer is doing for self testing after installing new cartridge. Just finish the process.
Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.

My hp c3150 prints a test page every time i turn it on

Do this. The next time it prints a test page, keep the same test page under the scanner and push the scan button on the c3150. This would complete the test cycle and it would not print test pages from the next time.
