Question about GE JKP15 Electric Single Oven
I blew the heat / bake element today, unbolted the element and pulled it out. Do the wires come off the connector or do I have to rewire the replacement I am going to buy. They do not come off by finger pulling, but I don't want to force the matter. Any help appreciated.
Look at them closely. If they have an opvious connector, it should slide off. If they look soldered, you will have to see what the replacement looks like to determine how you have to replace it. If it needs soldered, you will need silver solder, a torch and silver solder flux or Boraxo, mixed with water to form a paste, to be used as flux.
