I just built a new computer and found the amount of RAM one can install is limited to the amount the computer can use. There is a good starting article here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605
I hope this helps

I have a dsc-w150 digital camera, no usb cord. how can i transfer my pictures to laptop?

You'll need a card reader to transfer the data to your PC.
These days most laptops and printer has built in card reader. But since Sony camera's use memory stick, some of them don't support memory stick. So,
  • First check whether or not your printer or laptop has memory stick support, if has then use it to transfer you images. Otherwise you've to purchase a memory card reader with memory stick read support[should be available on any nearby electronic shop].
  • Then remove your memory stick from your camera and connect it with your laptop.
  • Open the memory card and copy your images.

the drivers for built in cams are usually provided with the laptop. if not, then u can go to the laptop website and find the driver by entering ur laptop model no.
still not possible, download driver genius and let it search the driver for you. :)

I want to put my olympus 1040 memory card in my pc how do you do that

You can connect the memory card of your camera to your computer by two ways.

First if your computer has a built in card reader on it where you can connect the memory card from your camera that will do and your computer will automatically detect the memory card when connected.

Second if you don't have a memory card reader built in on your computer , you need to go get one from any electronic or computer store near your place. You just connect the memory card to the card reader and then connect the card reader to a USB port on your computer and when already recognized by the computer is ready for file transfer.

I have a 4 GB memory card and I don't know how to format it, I put it in the camera and go through the instructions and it just keeps going back to the beginning, even tried a 2gb card with the same...

You can put the card in a memory card reader and connect it to your computer's usb port. Also, if you have a laptop that has a built in card reader, you can use that. Once the device was detected, right click your windows start button and choose Explore. Look for your memory card's drive, right click it and choose Format.

I just bought the sanyo vpc-s1275 where do I get the software to transfer photos to my pc?

Does it use cards? Like SD/Memory/Compact?
If it does, you just need to take out the card and put in a card reader (built in your desktop/laptop or you can buy a card reader). Attach the reader to the desktop/laptop if its not built in. It will take a couple seconds to a couple minutes for your desktop/laptop to recognize it. Once it found "a new hardware" and installs it.
My Computer > The new drive example F: > Look for a folder that contains images.

Otherwise a usb cable is supplied to connect to your camera to your desktop/laptop. And usually requires the cd that has a program to take the images out.

I took some pics on my laptop built in camera last night n tried this morning to save them to my sd card so i could look at them in my digital camera, but even tho they r stored on the card, i know this...

This is because camera will show these pictures with specific file name/ number.  You need to check camera taken picture file name/ number and change uploaded file name/ numbers as camera firmware generate it.  Please change picture file name according to camera taken picture.
let me know if further help required.

It was my birthday last week , and my boyfriend bought me photoframe (digital) i hav manged 2 set clock, but cant seem 2 figure out how 2 get photo's from my laptop on 2 it , i hav manged 2 use a memory...

hi there
most photo frames don't come with a built in memory so you would need to check the manual.
if it hasn't then you will have to put them all on a memory stick. a 2gig stick will hold about a thousand pikkys. if it has got a built in memory you just need to copy them on to it. post the make and model number and i'll sort it out.

Memory Card Error

try another laptop (friend's)..I suspect yours has a NTFS hard drive format while the card has a FAT type format. You can see which type by starting defrag and reading screen.

This is a memory issue with the laptop- not enough RAM memory- unless you want to spend a fortune on upgrading your Lappie nothing you can do. Except maybe burn to CD and try on a domestic DVD player
