once your on the login page hit ctrl and d to bookmark it

depending on what caused the problem you might be able to restore them by doing a system restore. You might even be able to run a data recovery software and get them back.

On your mail screen over to the right click Options, then on the drop down menu, click Mail Classic.
At the present time Yahoo servers have been on and offline replacing beta mail with the New Mail. This doesn't help you fix anything but at least it tells you what is going on. There are alot of glitches right now. You never know what's next. Now the mail alerts are gone again.

Sorry to inform you that your Yahoo email account has been hacked. And I have noticed that it is happening quite frequently in Yahoo mail. So beware next time. And there is no way that you can get it back. Gone is gone.

I don't know what you mean by the original mail setup is gone.
I would go into Windows mail and re-set it up. Your profile may have accidentally been deleted.

Your in the classic mode of yahoo mail you need to switch to the advanced mode your button will appear.
