SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Are you trying to add another phone to the Garmin? If so, you have to activate the bluetooth on the phone so Garmin can see it.

Our garmin suddenly needed a pin #.we couldn't

Whether someone's honest enough to admit it or not, they have activated Garmin Lock on your unit, probably whilst fiddling about with it. The following is cut and pasted from my existing FixYa Tip and deals with your precise problem:-

You have Garmin Lock activated on your nuvi: there are only two ways you can unlock it.

1. Enter the PIN code (but you clearly don't have it or you wouldn't be reading this).

2. Take the unit to the Security Location you chose when activating Garmin Lock: it will then unlock without the PIN code and you can then either reset the PIN or disable Garmin Lock. The Security Location should not be the owner's home address, but many owners ignore this recommendation. Many owners choose their workplace or a close friend or relatives address for this purpose.

If neither option works then your unit is useless unless you send it to Garmin with proof of purchase. Garmin charge for the service and if your maps are not up to date then it's really a waste of money as the investment would be better spent on a new unit with current mapping.

I hope that you manage to either fix your problem using my advice or at least can decide whether to abandon the unit and buy another.

Update: You may read advice advising you to use a secret menu to erase all user data. This is done by starting with the nuvi switched off and then pressing and holding the bottom right corner of the screen and then, whilst still pressing the bottom corner, turning the unit on. Please note that although this erases all previous user data, it does not bypass Garmin Lock. There is NO bypass for Garmin Lock except by taking the unit to the owner's security location; it would be a useless theft deterrent otherwise.

Now have letters missing and some are duplicated.

The device may be missing letters or have jumbled letters or displaying duplicate letters or strange symbols on the address screen. To correct this you will need to update the system software of your nuvi. You can easily do this by using Garmin's WebUpdater program:
  1. Click the following link to download the WebUpdater program: http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp
  2. Follow the on screen prompts from the website
  3. Choose RUN/OPEN
  4. Follow the on screen prompts
After the program has been installed it should run automatically. If it does not please use the steps below.
To run WebUpdater:
  1. From the Start menu, click All Programs and find the Garmin folder
  2. Click WebUpdater
  3. Connect your nuvi to an available USB port on your computer
  4. To search for an available update, choose NEXT
  5. As the program automatically finds updates, choose NEXT to load the update. Once the update is complete, you can search for other updates such as voice languages, Bluetooth, and Traffic Receiver.
  6. Disconnect the unit to ensure it powers on.
Take your unit outdoors and keep it in a stationary position with an open sky view until it reacquires satellites.

My Nuvi 750 has stopped talking, still shows the map but no voice

That has happened to me several times. When it happens I go to Tools > Settings > Language. In my case, the Voice field is empty, so I click on the Voice field and then select American English-Jill (TTS) and it's okay afterwards.

The Nuvi 750 does not have Bluetooth capabilities. Simply put, there is no way to connect your phone with the Nuvi 750 via Bluetooth.
