Question about Singer 2732 Mechanical Sewing Machine
I have had this machine for probably 5 years and used it off and on. It has never been "easy" to sew and I thought it was just me until I went to my high school's apparel class (I'm a high school teacher) and sewed using their machines. I literally had no problems! The main problem is the bobbin thread - it is so tight, when you go to pull fabric out you have to tug with all of your strength. It also doesn't make a pretty stitch underneath. I don't want to have to buy another machine!
It sounds like a tenshion problem try the little screw on the bobbin shuttle slacken it off by turning anticlockwise

Take to service tech, they can set it to work, and when you replace it don't buy from somewhere you can't get a real person to show you operation, all machines work a bit differently, a little training goes a long way toward hassle free sewing
