no matter what you sing, you will get 100% on the magic sing that we have. While the mic is still working otherwise, the lack of score really sucks.

  • GREEN808 Dec 27, 2008

same problem here.  score is always 100.  you don't even have to be trying.  half the fun is seeing peoples scores.  without that its way less fun.  contacted the company i purchased mine from (model: Enter Tech Magic Sing ET-13000).  if they don't have one, they can expect a return.

The service center in California has the pack to upgrade (fix) the scoring in ET-13000 and most likely other models, including the ET-18000. They can be contacted at 1-714-578-0004.

I had mine upgraded by the place where I purchased it (MagicSingMall / www.magicsingmall.com) in New York (phone # to call is 1-212-561-5919). They might be able to repair units purchased elsewhere - give them a call to find out.

Good luck & God bless

Who sings the song big tymers

  • The Big Tymers were an American rap duo active from 1997 to 2005 from New Orleans, Louisiana. The Big Tymers consisted of Cash Money Records co-founder, Baby and former Cash Money in-house producer, Mannie Fresh. Baby later changed his stage name to Birdman after the duo was dissolved. The Big Tymers released their debut album in 1998 titled How You Luv That, and a re-release version of their debut album, How You Luv That Vol. 2 which gave them an abundant amount of publicity afterwards. They recorded their first platinum selling album in 2000 titled I Got That Work. The lead single from I Got That Work, "Number One Stunna" peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks. The group released its most successful album in 2002 titled Hood Rich. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and spawned a major hit in "Still Fly" which reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later in 2002, Mannie Fresh resigned from Cash Money Records because of financial dispute with Birdman, and his brother Slim. The group later reunited again in 2003 for their final album titled Big Money Heavyweight. During an appearance on MTV RapFix, Lil Wayne announced that there will be a Big Tymers album featuring Birdman, himself, and Drake. Birdman stated that Mannie Fresh will not be a part of the project.

Who sings a certain song evening

That's the name of the actual song - Evening? Look it up. And if it isn't, try using a coherent, sensible sentence to ask your question.

Hi, I would first ask if you are using a Ni-cad rechargeable battery system, these are not optimum performers for such a high drain microphone as probably the one you're using. Especially if the mic. takes a single 9 volt battery ( the average ni-cad 9 volt is about 200 milliamp hours, not a lot. If so-try switching to nickel metal hydride ( Ni-Mh ) these are better for high drain devices and do not develope a " MEMORY " effect ( which will cause rather sudden power loss ) memory effect can happen to almost brand new batteries as well, all it take to incur this is to charge a Ni-cad before it is totally dead. good luck, and thanks for choosing FixYa-Prodzilla

Disk filled while recording/lost audio but says its still there

Often when one runs into the end of a storage medium, it becomes impossible to even transfer data,,, It seems like they often need a little bit of room to handle the headers and stuff.

When doing a recording session, it is often a good plan to have a backup recorder, even a tape unit that you can recover the data form.

I would suggest aa call to the manfacturer to see if they have any suggestion for recovery of your audio.

I would try to save the file, even if it doesn't appear to have audio at this point.

It happens all the time to me. Only solution is to save constantly as you record because once it freezes up and says not stopped you can only unplug and plug back in then turn power on. You will lose what you were recording but nothing will be lost that you have saved.

My dp01wth cd recorder says no more disc space when trying to rec

You may wish to first verify that you have indeed erased those songs (by choosing 'erase' in the 'song' menu - see page 18 in your manual) and not simply cleared out the fat partition. You cannot erase songs on the DP-01 from your computer, you can only do this in the DP-01 menus.

If you erase all the songs from a disk partitian the DP-01 is supposed to automatically create a new blank song. So the partition or the hard disk could have become corrupt because you say you aren't seeing any song there.

If you haven't already, you could try selecting another partition to be the active one (press 'menu', select the 'disk' menu, choose 'partition' and press the > arrow key. Move the arrow symbol to the partition you want to make active and press enter - see page 36 in the manual) to see if another partition works any better.

If the newly selected partition does work, but the original one didn't you might have to reformat the old partition. Re-select it as above, and follow the instructions to reformat a partition on page 37 in the manual).

If the newly selected partition doesn't work either, then your hard disk might be corrupted. At this point you could try a disk reformat (page 36 of the manual) during which you'll have to set the partition sizes. The disk format instrcution of page 36 will walk you through that too,

Hopefully it's just something simple and you won't have to get into formatting anything.

Good luck with it.

SE2200a rapid signal drop off

I had the same problem with my Saffire: the phantom power voltage quickly drops when switched on, causing the mic to cut out. This problem is common in older Saffires, and is well known to Focusrite support (a modification in newer-production units solves the problem).

The problem is that a tiny 100 ohm surface-mount "chip" resistor in the phantom power circuit fails due to insufficient power-handling capability. (This is "R196" in the phantom circuit.)

The fix is to replace the "chip" resistor with a "normal" 1/2 watt metal-film resistor (with wire leads), mounted upright on the circuit board.

I replaced the resistor myself, following directions (and photos) sent to me by Focusrite Tech Support.

The procedure is somewhat fiddly (a Swiss watchmaker could probably do OK). If you've never soldered before, DON'T EVEN TRY THIS, and if you've never worked with surface-mount components, I would ask your electronics-hobbyist buddy to do it for you.

Here is the procedure sent to me by Focusrite:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} SAFFIRE PHANTOM POWER MODIFICATIONS

Dismantling the Unit

Remove the 7 screws on the rear panel.
Remove the 4 screws on the underside of the unit.
Lift away the metal cover.
Remove the 4 small black screws securing the MIDI In/Out sockets.
Remove the single screw securing the S/PDIF In/Out sockets.
Remove the two screws securing this PCB to the chassis.
Gently pull the PCB away from the rear panel and move it through 90 degrees towards the front panel.
Place the unit on its front and support the PCB with some suitable non-conductive item.

Modification Procedure

All the components mentioned are located in the same area on the same PCB (see photo).
It is best to remove the coil and capacitor (as shown in the second photo), as this gives easier access to the components.
Remove R196 and measure its resistance. If it does not measure 100 ohms, replace it.
Use a conventional type (100 ohms metal film, .5 or .6 watt) mounted upright as shown in the photo. Before fitting this resistor, check that the three zener diodes DZ11, DZ12 (22v) and DZ9 (3.3v) are OK and have not shorted out. (Diodes are 500mW, 5% tolerance)

Testing units for Phantom Power problems

Connect a condenser Mic or suitable dummy load* to Channel 1.
Engage +48 switch.
Measure the DC voltage between XLR pins 2 & 1 on Channel 2 Mic Input XLR.
Faulty units usually read around +28Vdc and the voltage gradually drops.
Good unts will measure +48Vdc +/- 0.7Vdc.

* Dummy Load for testing: Solder a 20,000 ohm resistor between pin 2 and pin 1 of a male XLR plug and another 20,000 ohm resistor between pin 3 and pin 1 of the same XLR plug.

My Saffire has worked perfectly since I replaced the bad resistor.

Good Luck!
