Asus x83v monitor has a red flickering bar across the lower part of the lcd it is as thick as the task bar thats why i have to place the task bar on the top, its like a static flickering red to pink and...


The display hardware is damaged. Most likely you will need to replace your screen. In rare instances, this can be caused by a loose ribbon connector from the display to the display adapter board.

  1. Vendor from which you purchased your system.
  2. ASUS Support.
It will likely cost you though. However, ask for a break (free) "in the nature of good-customer relations", and how "impressed and appreciative" you'd be (particularly if recently aquired). You won't know unless you try. It works more often than you'd imagine. Especially if vendor, and they have an unnecessary extra just lying about.

Asus x83v screen is black and has vertical lines on half of it.


As the product is under a year old it should be covered under warranty. Get in touch with asus customer services before you let anyone attempt a repair as doing so may invalidate your warranty

Go to hp site> search box type your exact model no >>>select the OS>>>>you will find the HP WEB CAM UPDATE, Download the soft pack>>>>> Run this utility and restart ur notebook. After this step if its not working then their is prblm with ur hardware. Try to check with someother cam software.
