No sound working on inspiron B130

I reloaded a version of Windows XP and now the sound is not working. There is no sound device yet troubleshoot it states device is working normal.

First go into Device manager and see if there is either a yellow ! or a Red X, your sound card. If either of these are there, then right click on it and update driver should fix it.

Dont get sound to my inspiron b130, after fresh install of windows xp. how do i solve the problem??

Without further details its a little tricky to diagnose.

In my opinion, it its most likely due to a driver not installed with the XP version you just put on.

Dell have a great online database of drivers and update packs you can use when fresh installing a new OS.

Try here:

http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&cat=sup&k=inspiron+b130+drivers&rpp=12&p=1&rf=all&nk=f&sort=K&ira=False&~srd=False&ipsys=False&advsrch=False&~ck=related

Of course, if you've installed a aftermarket sound card, check out the manufacturers website for a compatible driver.

Make sure you're downloading the driver for hte right version of XP (service pack 1,2 & 32bit / 64bit) to ensure compatibility.

Good Luck!
