Re: power botton not responding
If it's not ejecting or responding to any of the buttons on the unit, or the remote, but is able to play a DVD, the display microprocessor(computer) within your Harman is damaged. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

5) Press the 8 button on your remote control
6 Press the 4 button on your remote control
7) Press the 2 button on your remote control
8) Press the 6 button on your remote control
9) Press the 9 button on your remote control
10)Press the Enter button on your remote control
11)Your player should now place itself in Standby mode
12)Press the Power On button on your remote control
A word of caution if your convert your player is that disc eject issues may arise in which you will have to eject from the unit, or toggle your power switch on/off.....good luck my friend.
You may be able to find one on ebay. Otherwise you would have to get a JP1 programmable remote and either have it learn the keys from a working remote or download the file to program it for the CH300. A fancy remote like that costs as much as the CH300 so it may be more cost effective to just get a new player.
