Re: after knowledge more than help

Here is the link to the user manual for your player if you need it; The format of video that you play on the player will not be able to be shown on a tv without converting it using a different device - easiest and cheapest would be a pc, which basically makes it pointless using the player itself. it may be in the future that tvs will come on the market that accept a direct USB connection from devices like your player, but i havent found one yet available - keep checking. Sorry if not good news, hope it helps you out - please ask again if you want any more info :)

My ipod

Yes, if you changed headphones and it is still happening, it's almost surely a problem with your iPod's jack. I think the warranty is 1 year only, so you should get it repaired asap.

Battery wont charge correctly

Probably a hardware issue that requires replacment, but:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

MASSIVE problems, need urgent help!

To keep people updated. I have sent my AV500 to Archos Repair Dept. Their phone support seemed fine. Hopefully their turn around time will be as good too.

Stuck on refresh database screen

Hi tt, First, I would delete all the files in your Sansa>Music folder - you may have a corrupt or un-recognizable file that is stalling your "refresh". Check and see if your player refreshes correctly - if it does, update the firmware (see below). If this doesn't stop the problem, you may have to format your player - Windows Explorer>right click on Sansa Player>Format>make sure it is FAT32 and unclick "quick format">Start. You will lose all files that you have not backed up - but your player should start up correctly. Then, make sure that you have the latest firmware update - here is the place to get the updater: - instructions are on the site. After the update, add the files again and see if the unit refreshes - if it does not - it's probably a bad file. The only thing you can do is to add the files singly (or in small batches) until you find the problem file - I hope that you do not need to go this far! Sandisk has fixed most of the software problems that folks encountered in the last six months - IF you keep you keep up with the firmware upgrades. BTW - I have had my Sansa e250 for two months and have had zero problems - I LOVE it! Hope this helps, Steve

Help with sansa e250

Call Sandisk and tell them about your problem. I had the same exact problem. The headphone jack inside is loose. Talk to Sandisk and don't worry about the box, the customer is always right. But after they send you a new sansa e250, sell it on ebay and buy a durable mp3 player like the iriver t10 series. My old iriver dropped on the floor plenty of times and it's still working after 3 years.
