Question about Compaq UPS R3000 (242705-001) UPS System
The ups will work fine indefinitely then for no apperent reason it will lose power on the output plugs and none of the LED's change, if you the cut the a\c power to the unit it will switch to backup and restore power. Then you can restore a/c power to it and it will run indefinitely again and repeat the cycle. The batteries are fresh and it only recently started doing this, it is as if there is some kind of circuit breaker, other than the ones on the back, inside the unit that is letting go prematurely. Only 1 LED is lit on the load bar so it should not be overloaded, I know for sure, from amp measurements, that it is only supplying 4 amps of power normally and 11.7 amps with everything possible on.
Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I have the exact same problem. Someone advised that I should ensure that the Sleep mode is disabled through the config but that is already the case. Do you by any chance have the UPS in a non-air conditioned room where it might be getting too hot? Secondly, do you have both the battery leads connected to the battery pack or just one of the pairs is connected?
