Question about Peg Perego 12 Volt Rechargeable Battery

1 Answer

Peg Perego John Deere Gator not working at all

Assembled the gator last night, battery has been changing since 5pm yesterday, ready for testing today around Noon while my son was down for his nap. Tapped the petal and it moved for a second then quit, never to move again. No wait on the unit, just me pushing the gas petal. Any suggestions???

It sounds like you need a pedal switch or it has a loose connection in the wires. It is a specific Peg Perego Switch that will fit under the foot pedal. I have a gator that was doing the same thing so i replaced the shifter switches and the foot pedal switch, but I bet you could start with just the foot pedal switch.
I bought mine at this website http://www.shopjandl.com/kids---baby-ride-on-toys-peg-perego.html but you could also call them as well.
Hope this helps

We have a John Deere peg perego gator that was working fine last summer and this summer will not even start at all. The battery is charged. Any suggestions?

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in
