Question about LG 47LC7DF 47 in. LCD HDTV
New LG 47 inch LCD TV seems to need to be turned up farily loud to be able to hear it. Usually have to have the sound at 40+ (100 is max) to hear the TV....is that nomal?
We had the same problem of pathetic sound quality and volume with a sony brava. Thats just the way they make tv's these days because most people buy a surround sound system as well. We bought logitec computer surround sound speakers for about $140 and plugged into the ear jack, problem solved, we have heaps of volume and stacks of bass.

I have the lg 47 lcd and i had the same problem for about 1-2 months ,but out of the blues the sound just got really louder ,i think the speakers broke in and it the sound normalized. But my tv sounds great now , my kids even asked me if i did something. Maybe just give it a little time.
