This has to be the path:
    "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe"

or you can create a new icon on the desktop and enter this path: "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe"

If you're using Windows XP you can try this:

Go to control panel, open Add/Remove programs, on the left side click on Add/Remove windows components, put a check mark on outlook express and then click next. It will activate Outlook Express again on your Windows XP.

Most desktop icons disappeared, Outlook Express can't open msgs.

    Hello,

system infected by virus so you need to scan it using potent antivirus,
Yo can download free AVG antivirus at free avg website(you can search it in google) download and install. however the infection is severe then you need to remove your hard drive and then attach it to other computer and then scan that drive until all virus is deleted. if this not resolve the issue then you have to back up your files and then format and reinstall the operating system.

Lost icone on my screen foer outlook express

Click on your Windows 'Start' button. Find the Outlook Express icon on the programs list and right click it. Another menu will open. Click on 'Send To' in that menu, then 'Desktop (Create Shortcut)' - this will create the shortcut on your desktop.

Our Outlook Express has vanished from our computer. Can you tell us why and what we can do to re-install it. Thank you, Norman Crites

Click start, Click RUN, type: msimn.exe, Press <ENTER> outlook express should open. If it does, then you can create a new shortcut on the desktop by Right Clicking the blank desktop, Click NEW, Click Shortcut, type the path: "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" then finish the wizard.

If msimn.exe give an error, the go to add/remove programs, Click Add/remove Windows Components, Check the checkbox next to Outlook Express, Click Next and finish the wizard (You may be prompted for your Windows XP CD)

If you are using Windows Vista, it doesn't include Outlook Express, Vista uses Windows Mail for the default mail handler.
