I have a may tag refrigerator, side by side unit, 26cu ft, model# msd2651heq. It's about 7 years old now. The freezer just stopped working and the refrigerator side stopped working shortly after, neither side will get cold. When you plug it in it doesn't make a sound, no click no hum or buzz, nothing. But the lights do come on inside the refrigerator and freezer.
Sounds like it is in defrost which is controlled by a timer or a control Board.
Go down underneath the refrigerator and find the compressor.
It should be black, ( about the size of a large grapefruit) and should have a couple of switches attached to it, the two switches are about the size of your fist.
One of these two is an overload protector, one is the "starter" for the compressor, often called a "Klix-on".
Plug in the fridge, turn it on, and after you find the two switches (attached together) tap them lightly with a small hammer, and see if the fridge starts.
If it does so, you need a new :"klix-on".
I bought one a few months ago for about $ 40 at my local appliance parts store.
God bless your efforts.
Compressor is not on. Check out the start relay/capacitor for starting compressor. If latter still does not start and electricity is definitely reaching motor, then compressor is burned out - terminal
Given the age of refrigerator might be better to get a new one since a new compressor and labor to install can be rather high and not cost effective.

Your start relay for the compressor is probably the problem. If ordered, you will most likely receive the relay and overload protector. Replace them both.
SOURCE: buzzing sound clicks on and off from underneath fridge
that would be your relay going bad it will stop the fridge all together change it to a 3 and 1 relay

Sorry to hear about your problem.
Your main control card is defective. and or your compressor is causing the card to fail, or the card is trying to start the compressor.
You will need to call a service company to resolve your issue.
