It has two wires three pronx. The wires are to the outside pronx left and right. The middle pronx does not have a wire.

Does the Power LED plug have three wires actually connected, or is one position empty? If only two wires, do they align with the pins on the motherboard's Power LED connector?

Does the Power LED plug actually have 3 wires on it, or only 2? If only 2, are they next to each other, or is there an empty one in between?

They should be labeled. The Power switch plug should say pwr. The Hard Drive Led should say hdd, etc. Look on the motherboard for the inscribed label.

> power led,

Runs to the LED (Light Emitting Diode) labelled "power" on the front of your computer-case

> H.D.D led,

Runs to the front-panel LED that lights-up whenever the Hard Disk Drive is being used.

> reset sw,

Runs to the "reset" button on the front panel.

Runs to the internal speaker

Very briefly touch a metal-tip screwdriver between these 2 pins.
If the computer powers-on, you've found the "power" connector.

No power and I need wiring diagram for jumpers

Hi !

Via VT8237R is a chip that is on your motherboard. It does not determine your motherboard, and this chip is used in many different motherboards and producers of motherboards.

Try to locate the model and producer of your motherboard.

Usually it is written between PCI SLOTS or close to the RAM slots or close to the VGA Slot.

Finally, there is also possible to find a diagram written on the motherboard or close to the pins, with description of +/- pins.

Regards.

Hooking my Neo4 mobo back up.

Hi weeman105, case wire colors do vary from case to case. The most common case wire colors for negative are "white & black". All other colors like blue, green, red orange are most commonly "positive". The four pin connector with only the ends with wires is the internal speaker. Most boards use one set of pins where you hook everything up. The MSI K8N Neo4-F uses two separate motherboard pins, Front Panel Connectors: JFP1 & JFP2 as shown on the top page 2-19. Now that you know what color is positive & which is negative things should work out just fine.
Downloaded manual from MSI link: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloadfile&dno=4117&type=manual
If you run into any other troubles, just post & we'll go from there.

Good luck weeman105!

How to connect power led ,HDD,Reset, power SW cables in hp motherboard s/n 383620-001

check your motherboard manual if you do not have it go to www.support.hp.com and look for manuals based on the model. this should give you detailed instructions as to which pins you plug those cables into. usually they are located towards the bottom of the motherboard to the right of your PCI Expansion slots
