Have warmed it up for a bit but does not seem to make a difference. Unit is 2 months old and only been used a few times. Everything else seems to work. The screen opens and accepts cds and dvds but no sound as the screen display is absent. As I mentioned it has been very cold for a week and have not driven enough to really get the truck warm. Thanks.

Aply some hair dryer heat on the device for some time in all the areas of the device.do not keep on 1 side for more then half minute.as it can get damaged if made too much hot at any particular area of the device.as this problem happens many times due to over freezing.

The screens can definitely have problems in really cold weather. Though if it still is not displaying once it warms up then most likely, it might have gone bad. How long have you owned the unit? Once I have more information I may be able to assist you further.
Thank you,
Lee

I have a power acoustik gt202 head unit and it shorted out the other day and now I have no display on my screen but yet I can still touch the screen, that part of it works still just no display.

You shorted the LED display. The touch screen is not effected by this. If you don't have a shop locally that works on headunits, then you will need to purchase a new one. Always make sure to unhook the battery before doing an install.

I have a Kenwood DNX8120 installed in a Jeep Wrangler(4dr). Running a 4 channel JL Audio amp for mids and highs and mono JL audio amp for the single 12" sub. Tried to have the deck tuned by two...

I do not know what sub woofer and speakers you have and how they are installed, don't change the JL Audio amplifiers, they are very good amplifiers. Also amongst others, I have been using Kenwood in my installs for many years and believe them to be one of the top brands for head units. The unit that you have is a good, very good unit, honestly. In a nut shell, the equipment that you mention are all top class and if functioning correctly, should not be the cause of your disappointment. Low quality cables, bad installations or even incorrect tuning, are often the guilty party in cases such as these. You could fill me in on what else you have and what kind of box the sub woofer is in and what car they are installed in? Search for the source of your disappointment somewhere else. dreamsystems.

I have a cda-9883 alpine that is in demo how can i take it off demo and have it play normal?

hold down the function button until the display changes. you can then toggle things like dimmer ,aux, and demo by turning volume control. when you see demo push the play/pause button which will then allow you to turn it off by again turning the volume button. once its off press play/pause button which will allow you to toggle other functions. then hold function key down again to get back to main display(main display will eventually return on its own)

My Pioneer DEH-4900IB plays music but there is no power to the unit. I can't turn it on or off, change volume, see a display but it still plays music. How can it do that?

I just had the same problem with my Pioneer radio. I pulled the radio fuses from my car's fuse box. This essentially forced the radio to turn off. A couple days later I placed the fuses back in and the radio functioned normally. Hopefully this will work for you.

a savvy installer can make a circuit using your garage remote (installed in the dash) or some wireless lights (with remote) and with the push of a button, your (insert item here) will function.
Depending on the voltage required, one is really just a ground, and the other is a positive trigger.

It requires a SPDT relay, and if the remote is not 12V, a resistor of the right value to lower the voltage.
