Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Razr v3 okay so i have had my razr v3 for a little over a year, and of course it had signs of wear on the housing, so i ordered new housing and installed it, now some of the numbers and buttons dont work. I put everything back exactly how they told me too but they dont work. The onl numbers that dont work are the last 2 rows... the 7,8,9 and the *,0 and # buttons along with the top buttons and the down arrow. i was thinking of buying a whole new keypad but i dont know if i should. Help!! Please.

Screen doesn't work. only after sereval attempts

This is a known problem for Razr V3. I had a phone like it with the same problem four years ago... I bought another brand and put the V3 away..three years later the phone works perfectly but I have not used it since three years..only turned it on to see if the screen will come on. Get the phone repaired or buy a new one. this is common on a RAZR

Blank screen on cell phone. Phone still works but I cant see the screen.

if the screen is all white, the inside LCD is probably broke. The V3 razr are being assembled in india with crappy parts, you need to order a new display unit and have it installed or get a new phone, the unit is $45 US and can be bought online through ebay or if you call your provider they should replace it if your phone is still under warranty. The only problem with this is that if ANY of the water damage disks have been set off that voids your warranty, i had that problem and my phone has never ever been anywhere near water in the 11 months that i have had it and had to replace the display unit myself. A good place to get the unit from or have them install one is this guy in florida

Motorola RAZR V3 No signal (bars)

I had the same problem with my phone- i got a cheap generic battery to replace the old one (which wasn't holding a charge for a full day, at that) and then i lost all signal, basically. I tried what scm_pa said he did - charged my old battery up, with the phone off, till the charge was complete- turned the phone on, and voila, reception!
