Turned itself off, can't reset.

Have you been using this projector for some time?
With time, dust gathers in 'air filters' and it hinders the movement of air though the projector. When this happens, projector gets overheated. To prevent damage, it shuts off automatically.
You haven't given much details, but if you think overheating is the problem, open the top cover and clean dust, specially from air filters.

After my vp800 plays for a hours it cuts off. WHY?

Remove the cover and check whether the air filters blocked with dust.
Whenair filters are blocked, air doesn't flow freely through the projector. This result in overheating, leading to automatic shutdown.

PJD 5111 Viewsonic projector shuts down after 10minutes?

Hi! I think it is the time to remove the cover and check for air filters blocked with dust.

When this happens, air doesn't flow freely through the projector and result in overheating, which leads to automatic shutdown.

Our PJ-TX10 projector is turning itself off

First, to rule out true overheating, clean any dust filters and air-access areas. There might be enough dust on the filter to cause a gradual build-up of heat which could trip one of the temperature sensors in the unit. I clean my projector once a week--There might be a cooling fan going bad--after a while, heat causes the fan motor to start to drag and slows down the air flow. Also, there might be a temp sensor that is shutting down the unit prematurely.--Rick

Remote won't turn on projector

if the buttons don't work or the leds are not on the projector, it has a power problem. make sure the outlet for the projector is functioning. if still nothing, the bimetal breaker on the projector may have tripped due to overheating. you'll need to remove the top cover. the bimetal has a small red button and is located on the lamp housing. push in the button to reset it. also make sure that the lamp door and the lens cover are completely installed and that the blue switches for them are not broken. this will also cause it not to turn on.

EP 757 Intermittent powering down

Pls check if the lamp is not so old that is giving the same problem. If lamp is almost new, then you can have a check with the Ballast unit card and then the loose connection in the Power supply or may be overheating and tripping.
