Question about GE JTP27 Electric Double Oven

No power to oven

I shorted out one of the oven ligths while replacing it, now there is no power to the unit. I checked the breakder box and the breakers for the oven did not trip. Switched them on and off just to make sure. Is there a secondary fuse or would the oven circuit be run through a GFIC circuit? Tny insight you have is greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Unit has no power.

I know what you mean. I was cooking with this appliance tonight and suddenly it displayed an f-3 code. My advantium oven is less than 8 months old. Not sure how this happened or how to fix the problem. In order to sleep tonight (the constant beeping) I had to shut power off at the breaker pannel. Is this representative of the the type of quality that GE stands for???? I am sooo frustrated. I cook with my advantium oven all the time and love the dual abilities of this appliance. Like I said this is brand new and to have the f-3 code which apparently (from what I read) is a failed key pad. I am very dissapointed and am begining to think about pulling my stock from this company!

SOURCE: Wall Oven No Power

yes the oven thermal fuse blew when the fan went off its also called a tco switch if you pull out the oven and take the top off there will be a tech sheet there that will give the location of the tco some are on top some are on back this can also happen if the oven is too tight in the cabinet not enough room around it to let the heat dissipate its a round metal disc with two wires on it

SOURCE: GE glass top and oven are not heating?

Sounds like you are only getting 120 volts to the range. Make sure you are getting 240 volts across the two outer terminals of the range power block (where the incomming power connects to the range) and 120 from each of these to the center nuetral.

SOURCE: Oven will not heat past 100 degrees.

Hello there:
It won't bake or even heat up correctly or If your oven won't bake, check these: Bake igniter Other causes Bake igniter Usually when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake igniter is weak or burned out. The igniter is a small, round or rectangular device, that's about 1 inch by 4 to 8 inches. It's near the burner itself. The burner is the tube-type device the gas flows through before it's ignited. It has many small holes on the sides to let the gas, when ignited, form a long, low flame. If the igniter is weak, if it glows red but doesn't get hot enough, or if it's burned out, the gas doesn't flow to the burner and the burner won't ignite. If this is the problem, you may need to replace either the igniter or the gas safety valve. Usually the igniter is to blame. Other causes Other reasons that your oven may not bake are: The clock settings are incorrect (if you have timed baking or a self-cleaning oven). The thermostat is defective. The safety valve that prevents accidental gas flow is defective. The selector switch is defective.

Think i blown a fuse/ where do i find the fuse

First check to see if power is coming from outlet, with meter or check breaker in panel box of main. Then you will need to be careful and check inside of oven power supply inside unit

My baumatic oven elemant burned out and blew mains fuse,so replaced both and their seems to be no power at all getting to oven

Some units have their own fuse. Usually near where the power supply goes into the oven. Check your Meyer box for tripped RCD or circuit breaker too.

When turning oven on there is a beeping sound and error code F1

Most of the answers are correct, the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) is either damaged or shorted. I've also seen the F1 code come up on the version 2 and 3 units when the temperature probe was shorted. But most likely your EOC is damaged and needs to be replaced. Since you didn't give us a model number we can't give you any more info. Good luck

Both elements in oven don't heat up.

Have you checked the breaker box to see if a breaker has tripped? To reset it you would need to make sure it is fully off then turn back on. You can also check to make sure that the elements are not corroded and causing loss in contact. If the breaker is good and the elements are making good contact. You can check the element contacts with a multi-meter by removing one element and checking the power to the element at the back of the unit, just remember that this is a 220 volt system, so be very careful with the contacts. If there is no power registering it could be that one of the wires for the power to the elements has shorted out.

Oven not workiing

If it is a double oven, then there will not be a plug fitted to it.
It should be hard wired directly into a main 30 amp switch box
If there is no power at all, then it could be a faulty main switch unit, or
the fault could be at oven connector block.
You really need a meter to check for power, both at the switch box and the oven itself.
Another possibility is a fault with the timer unit on the oven itself.
