Question about Broan-NuTone N-9427P Bulb Heater Heater
Nutone model 9422P-R01bulb heater. I have this bulb heater connected to a thermostat type switch. When I turn the switch to lets say 10 minutes it only turns on for 20/30 seconds then turns off. It will come back on again but only for a brief time IE 20/30 seconds.I'm thinking the switch is the problem? If so what type Model should I have installed?? Thanks
You should probably replace the heater motor. All the parts should still be available for you fan and it should only take a few minutes to change out.

The "diode" that your electrician mentioned is actually a one shot thermal fuse.
You can either go to the Nutone website for parts, or remove the thermal fuse, extract the info written on it and buy a replacement. Mine was a 100C 10A thermal fuse. I got mine from DigiKey.
