Hi, My Hero Honda Glamour (purchased - 2008; From Amit Motor, Howrah, West Bengal). After 3-4 month the bike started emitting some black smoke. I went to their Service Center and they have fixed the problem. After few month the bike again started emitting smoke(White). Again I went to the SC, they serviced and the smoke some how become low. When I do heavy pickup the smoke come out , but the amout is very low. The mechanic said this slight smoke is OK. Few, weeks ago my bike again started emitting white smoke a lot. I went to the mechanic they said the following need to be change:- 1. Piston 2. Valve Oil Seal. 3. Valve Guide. 4. Half Kit. 5. Head Oring Kit. 6. Timing Chain Any one have any idea what were the above part were for.. Thanks. Mrinal Sarkar
That seems a big job, did he say how much he will charge to do it?
I think, unless you are an engineer you will need a manual to do a job like that, although you may find one somewhere on the Internet, if I were to attempt that I would prefer to have a paper one, I could refer to as I went along.

Hi, the symptoms you describe, sound like mechanical, poss partial sezure, i presume the oil level is up to the mark as required, if the problem is mechancal i would suggest you do not ride this machine until the fault Has been rectified, seriouse dammage may occure to the engine and rider ask for a profesional oppinion, take it to a shop, for a fee you will know for sure what the fault is

Hi I have bought hero glamour in 2009. Six months before I have changed piston, piston rings and valves for low milege, smoking from pipe cylinder as well as bad sound from engine. But still all the problems are going on and mobil is decreasing. The mechanic says I have to change piston, piston ring, valve again. Now please you tell me what should I do for getting good condition. Thank you in advance.
