Here is the link to the user manual if you need it;,,2076_310070339_291093650,00.html You have to register to download it, but it is free. Also in the FAQs is this; "SETTING THE CLOCK How do I set the clock on my single CD player? For this Pioneer single CD player, you can set the clock using the following steps: Press and hold the SOURCE button till the radio shuts off. Press and hold the SOURCE button again, until display pops up, then release. Press the FUNCTION button until the clock shows on the display. Press the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hours. Press the LEFT or RIGHT arrows to move to the minutes. Press the UP and DOWN to adjust minutes. When complete, press the SOURCE button to exit." Hope this helps :)

Why do I have to push the reset button before operating for the first time on Boss Audio 648UA

Because when the unit was built, where ever that might be in the world the clock an other systems were set for their area. A disk was run through telling the processor certain things to do an a technician adjusted what ever needed correcting. So a reset of the timing an processing chips are needed.

I want 2 replace the stock stereo with an after market one and still keep the volumn and channel changing buttons on the steering wheel working what do i need and do ?

we ounce had a customer come into the shop asking the exact thing. after weeks of enginering we were able to do it we hard wired the controls into the channel and volume control sectors of the unit but it was very time consuming and it cost him around $300 more but finding a tech in your area that can and is willing will take some searching but yes with a little clever thinking it can be done.

good luck.

Kenwood Car stereo receiver

Sounds like the woofer cones are blown, no fix for that except to replace them.

You did the right thing disconnecting one at a time. Are both speakers doing that? It is a little strange that both would go out at the same time, but stranger things have happened.

If you have an extra speaker laying around someplace that you know is good (even a home stereo speaker), try disconnecting both speakers and connect the one good one to see if it sounds OK. If it sounds good or at least normal, you have some bad speakers. If the one speaker still sounds bad, you have a problem with the speaker wiring someplace. You might even need to run new wires just to rule them out as a problem.

If the problem is not the speakers, then this is a very strange problem indeed!
Good luck and I hope this helps you. If you need more help just reply back after you checked them out a little more.
