Reciever

You should not have to specifically plug a servo into the AUX for binding. try a dif. receiver to see if it works.

Traxxas rustler I forgot to mark the channels for the receiver and now its not working and don't now what goes where it is a tq 2.4ghz and has 4 channels

simple process of elimination, start with the steering servo, plug it into one of the sockets and test the steering. if it does not work, move it to the next socket. not too sure why you have a 4 channel radio tho, you only need 2.

My car will turn but it will not go forwards or backwards

The servo outputs are disconnected or loose. Try wiggling the plugs that go from the reciever to the servos...

Traxxas tq controller has steering reversed. Left goes righ and vice versa

Towards the bottom of the controller there should be two small switches. One switch will be for the steering servo and one for the esc. Channel 1 should be for the steering servo, move that switch and that should correct your problem.

Esc won't respond to remote on my e-max

Hi
the ESC does not respond to the transmitter. The receiver responds to the transmitter. If the receiver channels are working (swap the steering servo between the two slots). If OK then the ESC is bad if not OK then the receiver is bad.

It wont go in reverse it only goes forward, the steering works fine

Hi
The ESC on this truck comes with a reverse lock out. The reason is that when you're racing, race requirements are that no reverse can be used. Now you may have accidently turned this on. Go to the Traxxas web site and download the ESC manual and follow the instructions for reverse lock out.

I have a xl-5, a exposed negative wire keeps wrecking motors

You need to either replace the lead or put some shrink wrap on the exposed wire. The short on the heatsink is definitely causing a problem.
