Don't use the NIVEA lotion, just coat your face with a sensitive skin shaving gel, like Edge or Gillette, then run the shaver over your face. The shave is much better and cheaper. I gave up on the NIVEA packets over three years ago.

Norelco Advantage 6756 X Electric Shaver will not hold a charge, is there a replacement battery?

To change batteries, start by removing the lotion cover on back. Then remove screws on the back to take off the battery compartment cover and access the batteries. For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

What are the buttons on either side of the shaving heads for?

The yellow buttons on model 6705X are used to dispense the Nivea skin lotion that is a feature of this model. The lotion cartridges are for sensitive skin and are inserted on the back of the shaver.

To change the batteries, you will need to remove the lotion cartridge cover on the back and then remove the screws on the back of the inner cover. Remove the back to get to the inside of the shaver. The batteries are soldered to the circuit board. You can unsolder them or it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs. Reassemble in reverse order

If you are not able to do this repair yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below

I need to know how to remove the battery from a norelco mod #

To get to the batteries, you will need to flip up the lotion packet cover on the back and remove the lotion packet if there is one. You will see four screws on the back. Remove these to take off the back of the shaver case. Once this back case is removed, you will be able to see the battery pack. The circuit board can be lifted up slightly for better access to the batteries.
To replace the batteries, you will need to do a little soldering. For easy replacement, it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather that removing them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can them solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs.

Replacing batteries in a 6705x norelco shaver

Hi,
To open up your shaver, remove the lotion cover and remove all 5 screws with a small flat head screwdriver. They have a star head, but also a flat notch. Since they shaver is water tight, the first time you open it up it will be difficult, but if you pry off with your screwdriver it should pop off.
Towards the head of the shaver the batteries are soldered to the circuit board. Pull the tail end of the batteries out of the plastic holder and cut them at the top end as close to the batteries as you can, or CAREFULLY bend it back and forth to snap the metal. Dispose of the batteries responsibly as you would any batteries.

Hope it helps you.
