Question about Tower Aloha Breeze Shekko Fan

Open Question

Need a new capacitor

I have an Aloha Breeze three speed ceiling fan and the fan speed capacitor blew out. I want to replace it but am having a very difficult time finding a replacement.
Here is all the information I have. It has 5 wires, 2 yellow on one side and 1 black - 1 blue - 1 purple on the other. model # CBB61, 3uf + 1.2 uf, +/- 5%, 300 volt AC 50/60hz
Any help you can give me qould be greatly appreciated. I spent a lot of money on this fan and not even a year later the capacitor goes out. Hate to throw out a perfectly good fan because of that.
Thank you for your time.
Dan

I assume this is the very popular 18-inch High Velocity sold at Wal-Mart. If you cannot return it to your local store contact Aloha Housewares at: 1-800-295-4448. Good Luck!

Measure the diameter of the opening for the light to fit into the fixture. Lowe's/HomeDepot/W-Mart and similar carry replacements.

Need a 2 wire capacitor or an Aloha Breeze ceiling fan.

You can go to Radio Shack, and find them there. Just ask one of the workers there for what kind (Voltage and Capacitance ) you need. I happen to have one right here...

It is a 1.5 nano farad With a tolerance of 5%.
It is rated for 250 volts at 50 to 60 hertz.

I have an Aloha Breeze L-Style 52" Ceiling Fan(Polished Brass), Model # 29079 Bought From Wal-Mart about 1 1/2 years ago and the fan speed switch busted and the capacitor melted. I have a new switch but can't find a new capacitor because I can't read the spec info. Looking for a place to obtain the correct capacitor for this fan so I can make necessary repairs!

Breeze ceiling fan not working

We were able to get 3 fans running again by replacing the capacitor which had melted in all 3 fans. On one of the fan's the casing around the motor was extremely hot, which prompted us to act quickly. I suppose the fan had been trying to start itself. We purchased the capacitors at an electrical supplier at a cost of $15 each. We were not able to locate the type of capacitors which came with the fan. I am now looking for replacement capacitors at a lower cost if possible. Does anyoe have suggestions of a reputable online dealer for capacitors at a reasonable cost? I would like to keep some on hand.
