Can't pm anyone or see my display window - E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC

    This is a prime example of a post that we cannot answer, there is no information in it, wo are you trying to pm. what are you trying to see, we don't know how to help you. Do you mean your messaging program doesn't work are you connected , you need to give all the info, brand of computer when the symtoms started what application you are using etc, we cannot help you with no effort on your part

1. Type intl.cpl in RUN or start menu search box and press Enter. It'll open Regional and Language Options window.

2. Now click on "Addition Settings" button.

3. Go to "Time" tab and you'll see the value of "Long time" will be set to HH:mm:ss. Just add tt at last of the value, i.e. change the value to HH:mm:ss tt

4. If you want to show the time in 12 hour format (06:30 instead of 18:30), then change the value to hh:mm:ss tt

5. That's it. Click on Apply button and you'll get the AM / PM symbols back in system tray clock.

When i turn on my laptop a warning notice comes on screen immediately saying smart failure predicted on hard disc 0:ST9160310AS-(PM). Warning immediately back up your data and replace your hard disc drive....

It means exactly what the message says.
The hard drive is going to fail in the near future. I recommend you back up your data before the hard drive fails completely.
When the hard drive fails, replace the hard drive, and use your Compaq recovery disk to install Windows and the device drivers plus your programs to get the laptop working again.

How to set date and time in pc?

  1. Open the start menu.
  2. Click Run (Windows XP only).
  3. Type cmd and press enter/return.
  4. Type in the word time (Without pressing enter).
  5. Type a space and enter the time you want to change to in the format HH:MM:SS AM/PM. :MM:SS AM/PM. e.g. time 5:34:00 PM, time 12:15:00 AM, etc.
  6. Press enter/return.
  7. Type in the word date (Without pressing enter).
  8. Type a space and enter the time you want to change to in the format MM/DD/YYYY. 5/15/2009, date 2/14/1999, etc.
  9. Press enter/return.
  10. Check the clock in the bottom-right hand corner. The time should be successfully changed.

    Acer Aspire Idea 500 - front display problem.

    if you go to the acer website there are a set of updated vista drivers install these and it sorts the display out.i have updated to windows 7 today downloaded all the vista drivers everything is fine except i am having problems with the soundcard any help on that would be appreciated

    Video hardware error

    with another monitor uninstall anything related to your Sharp LCD, boot up a couple of times, then reinstalled as instructed.

    Burn error

    You unit is faulty.. replace the unit with a new one. The CD Write Laser has probably "Burnt Out" or perhaps the "Quadrant Detector" has faulted.. either way a new unit is only way solve ya problem ... sry :(
