Your best bet is to check with local repair shops and see if they may have a used one as these screens are rather expensive. These screens are actually lenses. Also they are two, sometimes three layers thick. The two layer screen is composed of a Lenticular (outside) and Fresnel (inside) lense. The third layer sometimes used is in front of both of these and is a protective screen. You can live without this one if necessary.
There are several different sheets of plastic that cover your screen. The outside one is the screen protector, the middle one is the lenticular screen, and the inside one is the fresnel screen. All are available at Encompass.com
Yes, you can still get them from the Factory. I just checked and Mit's has all items in stock.
The SCREEN- LENTICULAR IS; 491P103030: $171.10. The LENS-FRENSEL IS; 491P104030: $212.80. The Diamond Shield IS; 760D639020: $77.90.
There are TWO screens for this model, an inner and an outer screen, make sure that both screens didn't get broke/cracked.
AMR2740 Lenticular Screen 60", RETAIL $405
AMR2741 Fresnel Lens SD-P6081K, RETAIL $630
Theses are retailed at Pioneer.com, but both are unavailable online. You might want to call them for availability at 1-800-228-7221, M-F, 7am-430pm PST.
If the screen cracked from daily use and was not cracked on the outside of the set, then you are entitled to a replacement or to have the tv repaired under warranty from a manufacturing defect. If the outer glass panel is not damaged and the internal screen is,then call the manufacturer.
measure the heigth and width of your screen I have a source that has numerous used screens for projection sets both widescreen and regular. I should be able to help you out new screens are expensive and almost impossible to find used.
