Try to buy a Windows XP2 cd . The cd key is ( HH8M2 - JV8XT - PGWY2 - 8WV28 - 2B9M3 ). Replace your old OS xp home edition , with Windows XP2 OS. Hoping this would solve your problem sir. Have a nice day..

I need to do a windows repair but I cannot find my cd. Can I download one and save it to a disk and install it on a different computer

Ask your friends to borrow either a "retail" Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM (bought when XP was available in retail stores) or an "OEM" (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version. The OEM version was used by Microsoft-licensed "system-builders" (small computer-stores that assemble computers from the individual components, and then install this "generic" version of Windows).

If you have the "genuine Windows" decal on the side of your desktop, use that 25-character product-key and the "borrowed" CD-ROM to reinstall Windows.

LOST WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION CD, HOW DO I GET ANOTHER OR DOWNLOAD IT

You can't. It is proprietary software from Microsoft and they guard it religiously. Borrow a CD from a friend who has the *exact* same edition you have and make a copy. Then if you need to re-install, the Certificate Of Authenticity Key number (COA) on the sticker on your computer should let you install. For desk top computers it is usually stuck to the side or back of the case. On laptops, it is on the bottom. That COA number is your proof that you paid for the operating system when you bought the machine. Even if you bought it used.

Sound driver of windows xp corrupted

Hello,
You have to reinstall the audio driver since you say the driver in your OS is corrupted. That is the reason for your OS not detecting the audio device. You will have your driver;s CD with you which you would have got when you bought the laptop. If you dont have your driver;s CD, then you can download the neccessary driver in your laptop company's website.

the key is either in the bottom of your laptop or on the sides of the pc, if you don't have a key you have to buy the product or contact your dealer.
