After 2 exchanges, I've determined that the cause of the WAN drops is an update to the router firmware. When I purchased the product, the firmware level was 188.8.131.52. Everything works under this level. When I updated to the newest (3.something w/ the fancy new admin panel), the WAN connection would constantly drop. Being sneaky and forcing the router to recovery mode to reflash with 184.108.40.206 will NOT solve the issue.
