After 2 exchanges, I've determined that the cause of the WAN drops is an update to the router firmware. When I purchased the product, the firmware level was 220.127.116.11. Everything works under this level. When I updated to the newest (3.something w/ the fancy new admin panel), the WAN connection would constantly drop. Being sneaky and forcing the router to recovery mode to reflash with 18.104.22.168 will NOT solve the issue.

what is the wan IP in your modem?
What is your DNS configuration?
Cna you successfully run the following command from a command prompt?
Does it resolve the hostname to an ip address?
