Test it by moving the bass and treble up and down. If the buzzing seems disappear at lower volumes with little bass and appears from one side only, it is probably a blown speaker on that side.

If the buzzing is apparent even at very low volumes or from both sides, it is probably an audio board issue. I am not certain if your model has a separate audio board or that functionality resides on the main board.

Tv makes buzzing sound all the time no matter what volume level

A few steps to take to narrow down issue:

1. With sound all the way off do you hear the buzz?

2. If no buzz that way try the rear inputs with a DVD etc to see if same issue.

If the buzz is there with no sound (turned all the way down) and via rear inputs you have a transformer (most common area is power supply) that is vibrating hard enough to create the sound or buzz.

Only two ways if that is the case to deal with it---replace the board it is coming from (have seen brand new sets with this) or in some cases I have been able to locate the offending part and apply hot glue to it and stop the buzz.

Monitor turns off. buzzing sound

Obviously there is some sort of interference. Do you have any speakers next to it? If so try moving them and see if that helps.
That's normally vibration in one of the transformers (especially prevalent in CRT monitors). Not much you can do about it other than buy a new monitor or learn to live with it. Sorry.

Why is their a buzzing noise when my flatscreen Samsung tv is on

Usually the sound is coming from the power supply board in the TV--a transformer is vibrating hard enough to make it--had a lot of new ones in warranty that worked perfect but had a buzz---replace the power supply board and problem usually is fixed.

Tv has a buzzing nouse

In almost all cases this is caused by a small transformer which is vibrating hard enough to cause the buzz.

The louder it is the easier to locate it.

Repair techniques vary from locating and dampening the sound with Hot Glue Gun to just replacing the entire board that it is on.

It is irritating but poses usually no safety issue.

Hint: usually in newer sets it comes from the power supply board.

Speakers had a buzzing/vibrating noise. had them replaced. still making same noise. happens on very low and loud volume. any idea what it could be? possibly the sound board?

maybe just poor speakers.....had a similar problem with an old sony. Replaced the speakers twice and always had a noticeable buzzing. Try running external speakers (computer speakers will work) at low volume to see if you hear it in those. If so, you may have sound board issue.

Humming sound

Samsung states - A buzzing sound from your plasma TV is normal. It is caused by the electrical charges used to create the images on the screen. The buzzing, however, should not be so loud that you can hear it when the volume on the TV is set at normal levels. It is also important to determine the type of buzzing sound. A sound like a ground hum is completely normal. This buzzing can originate near the power cord connection or from the SMPS board position on the upper back of the TV. The buzz will be more audible as contrast increases on the screen, most notably when displaying an all white screen. If the buzzing sound is loud, you may have the Contrast set too high. Lower the contrast to reduce or eliminate the buzzing. You may also have loud buzzing if the rear of your Plasma TV is too close to a wall or other hard surface. Try moving your TV away from the wall until the buzzing is minimized. [1]
If the buzzing is at a higher frequency and resembles a crackling sound (like the sound of Velcro being pulled apart), and originates from the upper middle back of the TV, you likely have a failing SMPS board. Place a support call with Samsung to have the SMPS board replaced.FP-T5084 Have a known buzzing problem with a very simple fix.If the buzzing is coming from the left or right sides of the rear and the volume can be changed by pressing lightly on those locations, you are probably hearing the vibration of the grounding springs on the back panel. Call Samsung (or whoever) and have a technician confirm the problem. The easiest fix is to insulate the offending spring by applying some felt tape.

Makes loud buzzing sound when first turn on then fads to a low noise after about 5min have disconect all apps turn all of tele still buzzes

This is a Switchmode transformer, a Choke, "Buzzing" this is happening because something is "Ringing" and causing the windings to vibrate and thus produce an audible signal, this usually happens prior to a unit faulting and is caused by too much current, or the incorrect oscillation frequency, overloading it, and it makes a noise due to it. You need to get this attended to, as it may, fail, and cause a fire or an explosion, or both.

Strange buzzing sound

Hi there! If it is an anoying sound I would personally have it checked if still under warranty. It may be a bad coil or transformer in the power supply. Enjoy what you paid for rather than sitting with a fault that might cost you extra later on. Best Wishes and Good Luck, JUS004

Problems with sound that buzz/vibration sound My brand new Toshiba 40 LCD has similar occasional buzz/ vibration coming from inside TV

Same problem with my new Toshiba 55" LCD.
Also, after being on for awhile, the sound suddenly gets distorted in a fuzzy, echoie kind of way. Switching to a non-digital channel and switching back seems to make that correct itself. I may try a new HDMI cable to see if the problem goes away. Any other ideas?

Very loud fan or vibration noise

Listen from the back of the TV and locate the source of the noise. There may be fan with a bad bearing. The noise will lead you to it.
