Lint Blows Out the Top!

My only complaint: Lint blows out the top - through the cracks of the vent filter! WHY? It vents STRAIGHT OUT TO THE OUTSIDE - should the aluminum like hose be CURLED?>>>?

Re: Lint Blows Out the Top!

It should be curled but not kinked.make sure air is blowing outside with force.also make sure to pull dryer good distance away from wall.

How do i pull th bottom off to clean vents?

i looked up your model dryer, your lint filter is on top so your duct or shute that the lint filter slides into is in the back.unplug the dryer, pull it a little way from the wall, look in the back to see how long the vent line is,then slide the dryer out enough so you can remove the vent line without ripping it off the dryer depending on how it's attached, some are clamped, some just slide out if connected to an elbow piece of vent tubing, taped on or some are screwed on.remove the vent line pull the dryer out and remove the back panel,on the left side you'll see the shute or metal duct, pull out the lint filter and remove the two phillips screws, remove the 4 screws that hold the duct on,remove the duct and clean it out, with a shop vac vac up any lint in the blower wheel and what's visible then set the vac to blow and blow out the blower wheel, the pipe where the vent line connects and the heater box on the right side, put the dryer back together except for the two phillips screws on if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, just stick the leaf blower into the vent line and blow all the lint outside, first go outside and look at the hood where the air blows out, make sure nothing is blocking it,if there's a cage or like chicken wire remove it and keep it off so no lint can get trapped in it,you want the lint to blow outside freely, before you even start to clean out the dryer and vent you can start the dryer,go outside and check how strong the air is blowing out and then check it after you clean it out,it should be stronger, another sign that something is blocked is your clothes take longer to you should pull the front apart and clean the inside video,it will show you what to do.hope this helps and you should do this around every year to 18's easier than it sounds to do

Dlg2532w dryer-all the posts talk about removing side access panel to reset the thermostat. Do the older models not have this panel because I sure don't see it and taking the whole top and front off...

I agree, and you should not have to be doing that on a regular basis. I have to confess just by looking at the model number I'm not sure if it's new or old LG, I'll look it up when my website is back up. The "manual reset" thermostat is a safety device, and, don't quote me on this, I've seen many similar posts. I can recommend this - especially with gas dryers the vent must be clear. Turn the dryer on an air cycle and go outside to make sure there is a strong flow of air exiting the house (clean the lint screen too). Be careful outside - this time of year hornets, etc. have a habit of causing problems. One nest could be enough to shut you down. If the vent is three floors up and your model has the lint screen on top - pull it out while it's running. If air blows OUT of the hole, your vent is blocked and must be cleaned out (not covered by any warranties). Hope this helps, and if the problem continues go straight to LG and state your complaints.

My bosch gas dryer has a E01 code, would like to known what that is.

It could be a venting problem. Check the lint filter and the vent pipe to make sure they are not clogged with lint. I have heard that greased lighting works well for cleaning the fine lint filter. Also check where the pipe vents and make sure it is clear. Sometimes vent caps have the mesh screens left on them. When cap vents are used the small mesh screen should be removed so any lint that blows through can clear the venting system. I hope this helps. Link for cleaner:

Kenmore 90 series electric dryer qiuet pak 1 101649022200 the lights are on when you open the dryer but the dryer itself will not turn on or do anything!

There's thermal fuse on the blower that blows when the cycling thermostat malfunctions or the lint/vent duct are blocked. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the dryer motor and if it blows, power to the motor is terminated causing the dryer not to start and no dryer function works. Check to make sure that the lint filter is always clean and the vents are clear. Click on the link below for the detailed troubleshooting of the dryer, particularly the thermal fuse, when it doesn't start.

How to open front of kenmore dryer to clean out lint

next time send model number, unplug the dryer,if the filter is on top remove the filter and the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top cover,go to the front and with a screw driver pop the top up,there is a clip one on each side around two inches from each side just pop up the top,use the screw driver and slide it in between the plastic piece of the wire connector and pull apart the door switch harness on the right side,it's hard to just pull it apart, now you'll find a 5/16 inch screw one on each side around 4 inches from the top, take them out and pull the front panel up one side at a time, vac out the front of dryer,if you have a shop vac blow off the motor, alot of lint gets stuck in the motor, put that back together but don't put back the 2 screws on top,now slide out the dryer, remove the vent line and take off the back panel,on the left side you'll see the duct that the filter slides into, take out the 4 screws that hold it in and remove it and clean it out,put it back together,if the vent line is a long run from the dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line, check the outside to make sure nothing is blocking that, stick your hand in there or a brush and clean out the opening if it needs it.
if the filter is on the inside, remove the bottom panel, remove the lint filter, take off the duct that the filter slides into and clean it out,if you have a shop vac blow all the lint from the back forward so you don't have to remove the drum to clean it,again blow out the vent line if it's a long this once a year so you don't have a fire and the dryer will run like it should and parts will last longer, good luck

Kenmore Elite HE4 does not dry the cloths all the way.

if dryer is filled with lint or vent line is blocked the clothes will not dry correctly, shop vac is great for this it sucks and blows, vac out what you can see and then blow out the lint from back and on motor, clean out the lint duct, where ever you pull out your lint filter either on top or inside dryer you have to clean out the go outside and check the flapper,if it isn't blowing open or hardly opening i use a leaf blower and take off the vent line from the back of dryer and blow it out, good luck

start dryer, go outside and see if vent is blowing hot air. If not then vent is clogged with lint, esp if vent has a curve or elbow in it. unhook vent at dryer or os vent and run a vacumn hose in as far as you can. easy way to determine if vent is to unhook at dryer and see if dryer blows air, could be just inside at vent opening
