Question about Amana PTH123B25AJ Heat Pump Air Conditioner
We have had this unit for almost 8 years and have had no problems. My wife turned on the unit and heard a pop and now it wil not come on. I have checked the breaker and the fuse and they are ok. What do I need to check next? Any help would be gratly appreciated. Thanks
The relays in these units blow, hence the popping noise you heard, disconnect power and remove the electronic control board. Flip it over and look under the relays, you will see burn marks under the one that blew. You can order a new board from Amana for around $130.

Its apretty straight foward thing(usually).. there is a power board that controls the uint, so long as you have power in to the unit this is where the problem lies, replacing the circuit board will problably due the trick
