Question about Sony KP-44PX3 44" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Missing cable channels

I've gone thru the reset option several times for the TV but I still cannot get past 21 when I have the TV search for channels coming in from my cable company. I shjould have at least 70+ channels. I've disconnected the cable, turned off the power to the TV, nothing works.

Hi, I have a Model WS-65315.The parenal control setting some how came on to pg14 i do not have a code and i can't get it off.HELP

There may be a simple way to deal with this and I am willing to help.

This may be a error that just happened---this set has (like all these) 3 hidden menus---you will need the original Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit code (that I can provide).

One of the menus is the OPTION menu-it allows a hard reset of the entire set except for convergence which we do not want to reset.

Every setting will be back to factory including the lockout code.

Set will turn off and come back on on channel 3 in air band--switch it to cable and auto program.

Here is a direct link to the manual and you can download or just copy paste what you need.

Instructions for the OPTION reset are on page 21--read carefully and let me know if questions before attempt it.

The manual has a lot of good information about your set and I love the site as they have almost every set listed.

The info states this TV has an HDTV tuner (ATSC), however I am unable to tune any digital channels which are broadcast via our cable provider (not offered on whole number channels, rather decimel points...

You need to reset you tv to factory mode, by pressing tv off---mute 182 power---go to options and look for *reset to factory* them wait until the process is done.

Hello, please help.. I have a 14" Bluesky TV set(NR BK 36 GR)but my channels had vanished and when I push the menu button on the remote control I get only the image menu (contrast ecc..) and essential...

Try unplugging the set for about 8 hours, press and hold power button for 3 seconds, wait 1/2 hour more, plug back in and see if the tv has reset itself.

I can't get channels bwyond 13 and remote is gone so I can't reprogram for other channels. Can this be done withour the remote?

hopefully you have a menu button on your TV, if so you should be able to access auto program (you might have to search to find the auto search)but before you auto program make sure you set your TV to a cable setting then auto program. If you do not have a menu button on the TV, you could also try buying a universal remote. If you don't want to do that you could always use a VCR, just set your TV on channel 3 and do a auto program on the VCR ,using the VCR remote you should be able to tune in the channels your missing through the VCR.

I purchased a SANYO-DP46848 42"HDTV. I have a Cable box and my cable provider (Time Warner Cable) provides free HD Channels. However.... I CANNOT PICKUP ANY HD CHANNELS ON THE NEW TV. WHY???...

I just got the same exact one, when it searches automatically the first time it doesn't look for digital channels. go to Menu>manual channel search>cable. it will look for all possible signals and will take forever probably. the free digital channels will take several seconds to switch channel to channel, but they're there! They will show up on your screen as "DC 91-2" or similar. you can switch back to regular cable channels with the input button, you just cycle through all the inputs. hope that helps.

Can't get second picture in Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Watching two separate tv channels at the same time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split of some kind. For instance, the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo and then to tv,the other half to cable box, then out to tv.If what I described fails, then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video. An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help. Let me know if you need more assistance.
