Try clicking on PRINT then go to the properties and click to see if the setting id for LETTER and that the proper FEED path is selected. If this is okay, then go to Control Panel and Printers and make sure the Printer is set as DEFAULT. If not, Highlite the Printer, then select SET as DEFAULT. Bud

Why can't I print to my Ricoh Aficio SP C430DN from my Macbook Air?

You probably have a conflict between the paper size the machine knows is loaded and the document size being specified for printing on. Your Airbook is probably trying to send a document on a paper size the printer doesn't have. Net result is a document stored in the print queue that stops anything else being printed. Go full system reboot and clear out any and all waiting documents before trying again.

Im trying to print a document in word thats about 200 pages and i just want to print only 4 of them and whn i print it says it prints in the box but nothing comes out the printer but when i try another...

Hi,
Alrite now, firstly, since you need only 4 pages of the 200pg document, go to File > Print > Select page range (e.g. 1-4, 51-54, etc)
Then print and make sure you have pages loaded in tray 1.

You can also have papers in tray 2. If MS Word does not respond, then change the drivers to UPD (http://www.hp.com/go/upd), the system may have legacy drivers or An earlier version of firmware.

The printer autostops

This does sound like a memory related problem, or memory and configuration together. I am not at all familiar with the software you say you're using, but if you get the same problem from two different printers, using the same software, then generally you have just narrowed the problem down to the software, since the two different printers respond the same way.
Have you tried to contact the tech support people for that software package? If so, what is their recommendation?
I am sorry I cannot offer more than this, to help you solve the problem.

Missing graphics

Depending on what program you are using go into your page that you are trying to print and go to print setup, look for include graphic and background. Next go into your advanced printer settings and make sure that print back ground is activated.

My printer doesn't print when I try to print a microsoft document. however the windows xp printer test page and lexmark test page both print

If you're using Windows XP, check to make sure that your Lexmark is selected as the default printer.

You can do that by clicking

  • Start -->
  • Settings --> Control Panel --> Printers
If the Lexmark has the checkmark, it is currently the default printer. This means that all applications should print to it.

If this isn't the issue, please respond with the model of your printer, and your operating system, as well as the application you are trying to print from that isn't working.

Not Printing

The copy function works fine because the printer alone is handling the copy. When you print, you need two machines to get their stories straight. Is your printer turned on before the machine boots up? or is the printer turned on after the machine has booted? Sometimes Windows won't load all the drivers needed if it doesn't detect a device during bootup. You may want to download the latest and greatest drivers from the HP site, uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
