SOURCE: Speakers raise and lower volume on their own?

Hello there!
First Things First:
1) This kind of speakers, has this problems, Creative is aware of this, read the Forums on their website.
2) It is a problem inside, resistor for volume control.heat.
3) There is no fix, for this, but, RMS to Creative for replacement Vol control.
4) if you know a tech in your area, may be he can replace the resistor.
Good Luck

SOURCE: volume on my new nextar GPS X3-T isn't loud enough

You can buy an FM modulator at any wal-mart that will plug easily into the headphone port on the gps unit and play the sound out through the radio in your car. I had the same problem with my nextar gps but since I purchased the fm modulator it is plenty loud enough.

SOURCE: help! no bass sound, low volume

You might want to try using a different size of the earpieces that come with it, and make sure they're inserted fully into your ear. They come with three different size earpieces because people's ears are shaped differently, and having the right size can make a HUGE difference in the sound. If it's done right, it should basically feel like you've just inserted an earplug into your ear.

If that doesn't help, and you've tried another pair of headphones to verify that it's not a problem with your sound source, I would guess you were unlucky enough to get a defective pair.

What could be causing a loud popping when volume is raised past a certain point?

This is normally cuased when customers rely on small amp in any radio instead of an aftermarket amp. If your radio starts to clip wither lower to normal listening volume or invest in a aftermarket amp to amplify sound.

The sound on my new 42 LED LCD Visio TV is off. The dialog on every movie that I watch (no matter what channel) is way too low. I have to turn the volume up to 50-60 to hear conversations properly. Then...

There's a setting called TruVolume, or something like that. I'm not at home to look at it right now. Turn that off. If it's off, try turning it on. It worked for **** on my 55", but functions wonderfully on my 32".

Hi! i just bought a lg-ks360 and i don't know what to do! i just can't hear the phone ring when i get a call or a text message. i tried using the alarm clock and it was useless, i just didn't hear it ring!...

You may just have the phone's ringer at a very low volume or on vibrate. Just raise the ringer volume and you'll be able to hear everything. If you're listening to a mp3, pause it and try to raise the ringer volume.

I have a sharp 32" bought at Walmarts at the Christmas before last and the low volume is driving me nuts. In my small living room with Volume set at 60 it still is not loud. Is there a trick to get louder...

Unfortunately it seems to be a sharp thing. I have a sharp 46 inch and there are times when I find it difficult to hear. Some channels seem to work fine with the volume right around 20 - 25. Seems to be quite often though that my volume is set over 40 and still struggling to hear. Seems with my tv that there is no difference between it being set on 35 and 60. They sound the same. Surround sound is the way to go if you stick with sharp.

The sound level keeps going back to zero when you raise it. can it be reset on 32GT60

check your menu by pushing menu on your remote ,go to the sound/audio settings see if there is a auto volume level . if so, set it to about 60%. yoou should then be able to lower and raise the volume. if this doen't solve it call for service.

How do we increase the volume? On some channels it is loud but others my husband even with his hearing aids has difficulty in hearing?

I'm assuming that you don't have any volume left to raise the level. The fact is, that cable (and satellite) companies are sloppy is setting individual channels close to each other in volume since this is a universal problem although it has long been the practice of ALL of the channels carrying commercials intentionally set the audio levels higher on those than they set for the program material.
My hearing is also shot so I sympathize with your husband's plight.
There are several different brands of wireless headphones available for ~$30-$60 US that have a transmitter (normally infrared) and headphones with a receiver built into them. These will not work through walls but the more costly units use radio frequencies to transmit the signals and these will work through walls.
I suggest you look for reviews by model number on any set that interests you before buying; they aren't all equal. You can see some of them at this eBay link:

Strawberry Chocolate low volume

if you have tried raising the volume while on a call and you still have the same trouble then I'm afraid your earpiece has failed and you will need to take it to a tech and have the earpiece replaced

Did I install the t-con board wrong? I was having flickering on my sharp aquos and replaced the t-con board. Now I get no picture. After I thought the new t-con board (verified exact same part, ordered on tv parts today) was defective because I got no picture after installing it, I decided to swap back to the original t-con board. when I did that I still had no picture. Which made me think I installed it wrong. I undid the cables, reinstalled the ribbon and the menu appeared on the TV when turned back on. So that made me think something wasn't set right w/ the ribbons when I installed the new t-con board. So I swapped back to the new one, and after trying to make sure I set the ribbons correctly, I still have no picture. So then I went back to the old t-con board (because as I just verified, it was working after I re-installed it the 2nd time) and now I STILL have no picture. I swapped back and forth a couple more times and I can't get any picture to show up. So that makes me wonder did I possibly fry something (I was very careful, kept myself grounded, didn't get rough w/ the ribbons, etc) or is it something like the ribbons are just extremely sensitive and maybe they're still not set right (they're very hard to reach)? Any thoughts on how I could test the t-con boards to check if they're good and I didn't blow something? I saw a video that it's possible w/ a multimeter but I'm not sure where the fuses are on the board or which area to test. Thanks in advance.
