SOURCE: CD will not eject disc error comes up

May have to open the unit up and manually remove the disk be very careful to put all parts back together the way it was do not force the disk out. Try it a few times before you put it back together, be careful not to touch anything and shock your self when plugged in. Only Qualified Tech should attempt this.

I cant insert a CD into my Bose Wave Music System. I think there is a CD stuck there. How do I get it out?

It is very difficult to remove a stuck disc and may require removal of the cabinet to get inside the works. Best to take it to a qualified service shop where they can do it for you.

A CD is stuck in my bose system How do I get it out?

From an other web site

If you have a cd or two stuck in your Bose wave radio, here's how to remove it and save yourself $99. This procedure is for the radio (model AWRCC1 or similar) with a single front loading cd slot.

PART I
1. First unplug the power, wait a minute, and then replug power, watching the front display.
2. The display will read "Ejecting". If the cd ejects, then you're done and can skip Part II. If it doesn't eject and/or it displays "Disk error" then you'll need to do the Part II steps.

PART II
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Turn the radio upside down with the front facing you.
3. Remove the 5 screws from the bottom plate.
4. Hinge the front of the bottom plate up no more than 2". Don't overdo this or you'll damage various ribbon cables inside. Use extra hands or a prop to keep it open this amount.
5. Reach inside and tilt-up the front of cd player's metal housing just enough to access the rims of the cd(s) within the space created in step 4.
6. Pinch the rim(s) of the cd(s) and gently pull it/them out.
7. Reverse these steps to reassemble your radio.

Enjoy your cd player again!

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

1. Unplug unit

2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

3. Plug in unit.

4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

11. Replace the cover.

12. Use a better quality disc.

Bose multi cd changer wont work, reads "Disc error"

I think there may be a problem with the system (defective parts) - I, too, am having this issue. I am going to contact the BBB - maybe if enough of us complain we will get a recall. To file a complaint:

CD stuck in BOSE 3 disk stack player

I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.
  • Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
    1. Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again

    2. If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281

Multi cd bose player will not eject 4th cd.

OK, this problem is everywhere with the bose cd changer addon. Many people can still play a cd with the top one fine, but cannot get cds to eject and/or read in 3 disc changer. My friends mom had one and after finally hearing back from bose, they said send it in with $100 to get fixed. If you have to send in and you value your cds, you may want to open it up and get them out. Use this at your own risk, there are no warranty stickers I saw and there will be exposed voltage, shock hazards, etc.; so if any of this worries you, stop here. By proceeding, you are admitting that you are capable of minor repairs and therefore I'm not responsible for any damage or harm caused. OK, here it is:
Unplug everything. On the bottom of the cd changer unit are 4 screws (silver ones recessed about 3/4" or so, use phillips screwdriver) to remove. Turn unit upright again and lift cover slowly straight up. In the front of the unit is a ribbon cable you will want to disconnect that goes to the cd 2-4 lights. Take note which side the dark blue tab is on and gently pull out by dark blue tab, rocking side to side if needed) You can then pull cover all the way off and set aside. Plug power into back of cd changer (careful not to touch anything inside) and see if the cds want to eject now. If not let the initializing process finish and repeat. This time see if you can gently help the cd out. The problem may also be the spindle not lowering, you can look for this movement during the last step of init. process. Work your way fom the top tray down removing the cds gently, remember we open it up because they were valuable to us, don't destroy them now, and don't ever use anything that could possibly scratch either top or bottom of the cd, use edges instead. Start to replace cover making sure to reattach ribbon cable back into socket the same way it came out. do not force too hard or you may crease and break ribbon. Gently replace cover and grab both top and bottom to turn over. Replace 4 phillips screws making sure not to overtighten or cross-thread. Now you may return to bose or just find an independent repair shop in your area, they are usually quicker, more polite, usually cheaper, and best of all, local!
