When pictures copied from computer to camera i can not see that pictures

The software that comes with almost every camera, is used to make backups from the pictures on your camera. The backup device is thought to be a computer. So this software only allowed to move the pictures from the camera to the computer. lots of camera users don't even realise the have to install special software, to transfer the pictures from camera to computer.
Keeping all you computers only on one memory card in a camera is very dangerous, because there are lost of possibilities to lose all your pictures. But if you insist to put back pictures on the memory card, you should use a memory card reader connected to the computer. and copy the pictures from the computer to the memory card.
Don't try to copy pictures, made on other camera's, to the memory card that you us in your camera. Not all files are compatible, even not when they have the same name. So it could be, you have pictures from an other camera on your memory card and still you won't be able to view them on your camera display.

The only way is copy pictuers from internal memory to the external memory using the camera Copy pictures or videos:
1 Press the Review button, then press the Menu button.
2 Press to highlight Copy , then press the OK button.
3 Press to highlight an option:
PICTURE or VIDEO-copies the current picture or video.
EXIT-returns to the Review menu.
ALL-copies all pictures and videos from your selected storage location to the
other location.
4 Press the OK button.

NOTE: Pictures and videos are copied, not moved. To remove pictures and videos from the original location
after copying, delete them

Two methods to do it, If you have the cable that came with your camera and can connect one end to the camera and one end to the computer, Then turn the camera on. A window will likely pop up on your computer and you can move or copy the files from the camera to the computer, Or, many camera's have a memory card that can be removed, (with the camera off) and the card installed into either a memory card reader if your computer has one built in, or an USB card reader that you connect to your computer. In all cases your moving or copying files (pictures) and not so much downloading. I like to leave a copy of the picture on the memory card until I've confirmed their copied to the computer and I've confirmed I backed up the files on the computer before I delete them from the camera card. That way there is always two copies of the pictures encase something goes wrong you want to have a backup.

This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

Most digital cameras come with a cable that connects the camera to a USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on your computer. ?Use a memory card and memory card reader. A memory card reader is a piece of hardware that plugs right into your computer. You remove the memory card from your camera and insert it into your memory card reader, similar to the way you might transfer a file between two computers using a floppy disk. Tip: It's usually faster to use a memory card reader to copy your pictures than to connect your camera to your computer with a cable. 2. Once you've connected your camera to your computer or inserted your memory card into your memory card reader, Windows XP will detect the connection and ask you what you want to do with your pictures. If you connected your camera with a USB cable, click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK. If you are using a memory card reader, click Copy pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK. 3. When the Scanner and Camera Wizard appears, click Next. 4. All of the pictures on your camera (or in your camera's memory card) are now displayed on the Choose Pictures to Copy page. By default, Windows XP selects all of the pictures for downloading. If there are pictures you do not want to download, just clear the check box next to those pictures. At this stage, you can also rotate pictures that you took while holding your camera vertically. To rotate a picture, click it, and then click either the Rotate clockwise or Rotate counterclockwise button on the lower-left side of the page. When you have reviewed the pictures for downloading and rotated your vertical pictures, click Next. 5. On the Picture Name and Destination page, type a name for the group of pictures. (This name, plus a number to differentiate each picture, will be applied to each of the pictures you download; for example, if you name the group "Vacation," the pictures will be named "Vacation001," "Vacation002," and so on.) Click Browse, and select a folder in which to save your pictures. Tip: Create a new folder for each group of pictures you download. 6. If you want to erase the images from your camera's memory card to make space for new ones, select the Delete pictures from my device after copying them check box, and then click Next. The Scanner and Camera Wizard copies the pictures from your camera to the folder you specified and then removes the pictures from your camera's memory card. 7. On the Other Options page, you can choose to publish your pictures to a Web site or order prints. If you have finished working with your pictures, click Nothing, and then click Next. 8. On the final page of the wizard, click Finish. Windows XP opens a Windows Explorer window showing the pictures you downloaded from your camera. Your camera's memory card is now clean and ready to store new pictures. If you connected your camera to your computer using a USB cable, disconnect your camera. If you used a memory card reader, return the memory card to the camera. Your photos are now stored on your computer, ready for whatever you want to do with them, and your camera is ready to take more pictures. As with any important files, it's a good idea to make backup copies of your photos, in case anything happens to your computer

Go into the Setup menu, select "Copy", and copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory card. Then you can copy the pictures to a computer by using a card reader.

The procedure to transfer pictures to a Computer depends on whether or not the Camera has the capability of using Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP). If the Camera is capable of PTP (in this case; DSC-S730 - YES), set the USB mode in the Camera menu to PTP and then use the PTP procedure to copy the pictures to the computer. Otherwise, use one of the standard USB transfer procedures.

This procedure must be performed while logged in as Administrator or to an account with Administrator rights:

1. Turn on the Computer.
2. Turn on the Camera.
3. Insert the recording media containing the pictures into the Camera.
4. Set the USB connection or Transfer mode setting in the Camera menu to PTP .
5. Use the USB cable supplied with the Camera to connect the Camera to the Computer. NOTE: Connection through a USB hub or other USB device --such as a printer or keyboard-- is not supported and cannot be guaranteed. The Camera should be connected directly to a USB port on the Computer.
   NOTE: The Scanner and Camera Wizard should automatically start.
   
6. In the Scanner and Camera Wizard window, click the Next button.
7. Under Choose Pictures to Copy , do one of the following:
   • Click to select each picture you want to copy.
   • Click Select All to select all the pictures for copying.
   NOTE: Selected images will be marked with a green check mark.
   
8. Click the Next button.
9. Under Picture Name and Destination , in the Type a name for this group of pictures field, enter a name for the folder where the pictures will be saved.
10. Next to the Choose a place to save this group of pictures field, click the Browse button.
11. In the Browse for Folder window, click to select the location on the computer where you want to save the pictures.
12. Click the OK button.
13. In the Scanner and Camera Wizard window, click the Next button. NOTE: The pictures are copied to the Computer.
    
14. After the transfer process it finished, under Other Options , click to select Nothing, I'm finished working with these pictures .
15. Click the Next button.
16. Click the Finish button.

If you are still unable to transfer pictures, please switch the USB mode of the Camera to Normal or Mass Storage and try again.
After following the steps above, the pictures from the camera should successfully be copied to the computer. If for some reason the pictures did not copy, try using the method for standard USB picture transfer.

just copy and paste from computer to the mem card on your camera via my computer

You are best if you are not already using the software that came with the camera, to transfer pictures. Either the picture is a corrupt file or you are short of hard drive space. Can you transfer pictures across instead of copying them to your pc, or do you have a card reader to see if that can copy it across.
