This started to happen a few days ago and at first I thought Yahoo was doing 'some updating' for it to be out of commission. The #1 questions is: How do I get the email virus scanner to work again? The following message comes up. I go to open an attachment on an email and it seems like it's doing a 'virus check' and it says,...The VIRUS SCANNER is currently not available. The attachment(s) may/may not contain a virus. HELP!!!
Question #2: I would like to print off a complete list of my contacts in my email address book. With my previous internet email provider, all I had to do was go to it and it would print the entire list. Please advise what I can/may do?
Question #3: Last one....How do I set up names in my email address contact list ~ example if I would like to send the same people or forward emails to them??
Thank you in advance for what ever prompt assistance you may be able to provide.

I suggest you to change password again and make it very hard to crack/hack, i.e.:
You can use free Secure Password Generator http://www.freepasswordgenerator.com/
Depending on what operating system you have you can scan for viruses or malware through an Antivirus program or if you have windows vista update and use the Windows Defender program it works very well to rid viruses, if not try to restore at an earlier date before the accident happened, go to start tab, accesories, system tools and system restore and go back in time to a day you can remember the PC being fine, otherwise you may be looking at a reformat , u might have to format the harddrive and reinstall your operating system.to clean out the viruses and malware.
One thing you can start doing is to also send the email to yourself. (Yes, you can do that.) After you send it, you can sign out of your account and then sign back in a few minutes later. Your email should be there very quickly.
As to why your husband is not receiving his sooner is difficult to say. If he is using Yahoo too, it should not take long at all. It should use the same servers.
You can always contact Yahoo customer support. They are more knowledgable of their system. If you follow the Help link at the bottom of the Home page, eventually you will get a Contact Us link on one of the pages.
This usually happens when a trojan horse/virus has infiltrated your system. Spyware too has things that hate yahoo. Have you tried running your system's virus protection to see what is on there? Have you re-booted it yet? Also, go online and see if there are any updates for your virus protection since the last time it scanned your computer. I hope that this helps.
ya got a few choices here 1. get a better computer 2. upgrade your computer 3. use a different computer 4. stop using yahoo mail 5. start using other free mail sites 6. stop watchin the clock 7. go to bed and stop stressing that you have a bad computer/internet connection
Try running a free virus scan from an online provider other than Norton (Symantec). Kaspersky.com or TrendMicro.com both offer a great free online scan. I suggest this because it's kind of like getting a second opinion from a Dr. Also, some viruses contain rootkit technology which means they can "hide" from your installed antivirus program.
Do you use Spybot S&D? It is a free program, I recommend downloading and running a scan.
Make sure that when you run scans that you do not use your computer. You want to give priority to the scan, and do one at a time.
Change your email password. It sounds like your computer was hacked into or phishing. Did you click any link that took you to an obscure site? You should also make sure that your computer does not have a keylogger on it. Check the Add/Remove Programs list and make sure that everything there is a program you know of or Windows updates and hotfixes.
Hope this helps :)
Check your trash. If you did not delete the trash, you can put a check
on them and send them back to the inbox. If you deleted the trash, it is gone.
You can not undelete it. maybe you can contact yahoo help and support , can't rule out virus , multiple access to the account . mail is not stored on hard drive but i believe contacts are , possibly a system restore to earlier date might make the contacts reappear . just a thought .
