You need a Windows DVD -- Same version as you have -- Vista / Win 7, 32-bit / 64-bit.

A local PC repair should be able to burn you a copy for a small fee.

"BOOTMGR is missing. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL.

If your first Boot order is CD/DVD then there might be two chances that why your pc is not booting from your DVD
1. May be the ISO which you downloaded is not working , I mean that is not a bootable ISO. you can confirm it by trying same DVD in other PC. If it works there then fine if not then you know the answer.
2. If your DVD is fine after trying in other computer then your DVD drive is not reading your DVD,It can happen because of DVD drive lens is poor and you need to clead it with DVD lens cleaner DVD.

Bootmgr is mising/cant install win 7 on seagate HDD configuration problem

There are a number of possible causes for BOOTMGR errors, including the most common "BOOTMGR is missing" error message.

The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors an outdated BIOS and damaged or loose IDE cables

Anothe reason you might see BOOTMGR errors is if your PC is trying to boott from a hard drive or flash drive that is not properly configured to be booted from. In other words, it's trying to boot from a non-bootable source. This also would apply to media on an optical drive or floppy drive that you're trying to boot from.

make sure there are no disks in cd floppy usb drives

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty

computers need data and power to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
also make sure you have set it boot from you hard drive in BIOS

hope this helps

Bootmgr is missing

Bootmgr is the replacement for NTLDR in Vista and Win 7. NTLDR (NT loader) is the OS component which literally started the operating system in XP/2000. In the past I have had to use recovery console to go in and repair the OS (this is only available on the Windows disc). I would say in this case you will have to do the same, repair the operating system using the Windows disc.

This article is a how-to on fixing this issue, if you up for it:
