Go to the toshiba website. I found this
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=1598560&rpn=PSAD0U&modelFilter=A135-S4477&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768663&selModel=1598560%7CPSAD0U
Try updating the firmware for the dvd rom or brows through the list to find the right drivers.

Task manager in win xp keeps blinking, it will not closed, no matter what i push nothing, plus win xp keep freezing any solution how to fix this problem

VIrus infection?

to check and secure u need:

win-xp cd or other bootable win-cd, seperate up-to-date antivir software on cd or usb-stick,
your passwords

procedures:

boot system from cd/dvd (do not bother if screen resolution is different from usually),
exit windows-setup,

insert antivir-cd or stick, run full system scan.
found infections? remove/erase these files(antivir will do that for you)
if possible, back-up personal data (my folder, music, save games, etc.)
this data has to virchecked by another protected system before reinstallation !

boot from win-xp cd-rom, run setup until repair options are available,
repair your xp on harddisk(xp-will do that mostly), exit setup without installing win xp anew

boot system from hd, ignore error messages, run vircheck again.

if you're lucky, this will do, else lemmie know

I have a toshiba g35-av600 laptop and Im trying to install xp but since the drives come in a raid array the installation doesnt recognize the HDD. If you press the F6 key at the first blue screen you are...

If the installation CD of Win XP does not recognize your harddrive(s), it is usually because SATA support is not working until you install from a Win XP CD that includes Service Pack 2.
Toshiba has an article about this problem here.
If the install with Service Pack 2 still fails, then the only option left is to integrate the necessary drivers from Toshiba's support web page (download) into your installation CD. Softpedia has an excellent guide how to do that. You can find that here.

How to install XP in toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 laptop

you have to use a standard windows start up disk with cd rom support like win 98 works well so the computer will recognize a older version then insert it and boot the computer with the operating system that u want to install but be advised if you have a warranty on the machine you will void the waranty i found out the hard way i had xp on my toshiba laptop and i put windows me on it couple of months later i had a cd rom issue and sent it to the manufacture and found out that the waranty was voided because i put a different operating system on the machine

Can not open windows xp os

At startup you should see a prompt to press F12 or another key combination to select a boot menu. Then selcet the CD/DVD drive, then you should get a prompt to press any key.

If that doesn't work, then boot to the BIOS setup (Again there should be a prompt at boot to go to setup, then change the boot order to CD/DVD, save settings and exit

Toshiba 135-S2246 processor damaged

Hi

First of All Usual meaning of crash related to Operating System which is Software. If you are talking about the Operating system Crash its not something to worry. Most effective way is to perform full system recovery by Using Toshiba Recovery and Applications DVD which comes together. When you put the disk in and restart by pressing F12 boot option will appear when you choose CD/DVD a menu will appear. With that menu you can perform windows system restore also Toshiba full system recovery (it will set everything to factory default).

Good Luck
