This water line does not run through the freezer. You have a switch in the door where you get water that activates the water valve in the back of the Ref.

One or both of these are bad and needs to be replaced.

MY GE GSF25KGW Sise by side water dispenser will not stop. It is stuck open. Had to turn water off to house

Replace the water valve (part number WR57X10070) which should run $40 to $50 or so. It is the part the water line connects to at the back of the refrigerator.

Water dispenser keeps freezing GE Refrigerator

If this is a newer model GE side by side refrigerator, this is not uncommon. what you can do to check to see what is going wrong, remove the toe plate at the bottom front of the unit. Under the freezer door, you will see a white plastic water line, with an inline connector about 4-5" from where the line comes out the bottom of the door. this is normally a blue push-in type connector. On this connector, you will see two white sleeves on either side, push in on this sleeve while pulling the corresponding water line section out of the connector, if you squeeze the sleeve enough, the water line will slip right out. Place a towel on the floor, make sure both ends are on top of towel. Now, breifly actuate your water dispenser trigger, see if water comes out the exposed water line. If water comes out, your entire water dispenser system is OK, but, the water line in the freezer door is frozen, in which case the only way to melt it, is to turn the unit off, open the freezer door, and blow a fan for a few hours, to melt the ice INSIDE the door. You could also buy a new door, but that is very costly.
If no water comes out the exposed water line, then either your water filter is clogged, or you have a bad water valve solenoid

No water is coming from the water dispenser and ice cube are hollow water is coming out the bottom of frig on the floor could it just be a stopped up filter?

You definitely have a water flow problem. Plugged filter, broken line, low water pressure will all create these symptoms.

Model#a4425gd2aww;water dispenser stays on witout pushing cradle even when ice selection is on. This is an americana refridgerator made by GE.

Disconnect the wires on the water valve.(or unplug the frig) If the water stops the dispenser control is defective. If the water continues the valve is stuck and needs replacing.

Ice maker does not work on my Hotpoint sise by side. the water dispenser works, i've replaced the filter, the green light is on, but nothing happens with the icemaker, no running water sound, no ice

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water dispenser in my frig stopped working but it still makes lots of ice. I replaced the filter on 29 Dec 2007. I normally get 6 months out of a filter.

We had same problem! The water line gets frozen in the door, and there is no way to get to it. But, I took some 14 gauge electrical wire and would get one end hot by putting it under hot water, then put that end up the water line in the door. This might take several attempts, but it will work. A little piece of ice about 2 inches long will come out.
