I think you will have to contact Steinberg directly, as it sounds like it's not something we can help with directly. Explain to them your problem and they may be able to give you a new key or re-activate your old one
You have to enter a new Vista product id to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista. The Windows XP product id will not work for Windows Vista. If you bought the Vista from an authorized retailer of Microsoft products then the serial number would be on the back of the software pack. If you want to you can buy an activation code from Microsoft. Having an activation code means you don't need a product id and that your right to use the software is recognized by Microsoft. I am not sure if you also have a problem with Microsoft Office because your question says "problem with Microsoft Office Professional 2007...". If you do then the same thing applies. an activation code is even stronger than a product id for both Windows and Office because a product id only gives you permission to install and use the software offline for a short time and it still needs to be activated by Microsoft before you can use it fully or longer. An activation code allows you to use the software without any limitations online or offline and also to get updates and upgrades for them from Microsoft. If you cannot afford genuine Office software or a Microsoft Office activation code then you can download free software called Open Office which is almost as good as Microsoft Office and can even be used to open and edit Microsoft Office documents. It is always better to have the genuine activated version.
Here are the sites you need: www.microsoft.com www.openoffice.org
What this means is that computer manufactures (HP, Gateway, Dell etc) get a kickback (small amount of money) if they preload their computers with trial software. In most cases this will be Microsoft Office, Norton etc. So the software will work for 1 to 2 months before you need to buy a serial key to fully activate the product. So the ad means you can buy the key to activate said software.

your windows is asking for Activation...u have to use telephone or internet to activate, if u don't activate it will be trial for 30days so use telephone give a code which displays on your screen...it will give u a code through which u can activate it. But remember u have to activate every time when u format it. Previous key will not work. Another process is to use crack and keygens but they r illegal. You can activate many times no limits if u have an original operating system. All OEM packs of operating system will ask for activation. full versions are costly but no need to activate. Don't use on more than one computer...every OS is made for only one computer.
The only way to resolve this is to call microsoft and explain that you are the legal owner of the software and that you are forced to reinstall the software due to computer issues and they will give you an activation code.
