Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
My 2 year old Whirlpool Gold washer clicks 2 or 3 times a second after the wash cycle when it is trying to spin. It seems like the motor cuts on and off over and over and over, so the spin never gets up to the correct speed. However, if I chance the cycle to cotton (which is a high speed spin) the machine runs like it always did. On a low speed permanent press cycle, the machine may click on and off hundreds of times until I manually cut it off or switch to the cotton cycle. I am considering taking it to the dump and buying a Korean washing machine. Any ideas?
It is either a timer issue or a motor issue. I know, that you knew. But if you have a motor with like circuitry and size, you can try that or to put it into the spin cycle and see if it is a mechanical obstruction or with a voltmeter see if the timer is working.
