Try turning the temperature down on the freever side. Ice Cream freezes at -10 degrees and water freezes at 32 degrees.

Thanks for your post, friend!

I understand that your ice cream inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator, FFUS2613L. I would turn down your thermostat to see if that would help correct the issue of your ice cream not freezing. I hope this helps. -Matt

How to set temperature for freezer part on Model GSH22JGCC BB What should it be

The best temperature for the freezer section is in the range of 0 F to -10 F. Ice cream will remain somewhat mushy at temperatures above about 5 F or so. Actually ice cream never does totally freeze due to the fat content.... it does get hard but does not totally freeze. Now ice on the other hand will freeze solid at 32 F , as you well know, the colder the faster it will freeze.

Everything in the freezer is freezing except ice cream??

Is the ice cream in the door, it will not freeze solid in the door. If not its possible that you caught it when the unit was in defrost, sometimes the ice cream and ice cubes will soften/melt a little when the unit is defrosting.

Ice cream will not freeze, but will make ice cubes.

Actually, it's not as you think. Ice cubes are made between 0-4 degree Celsius and ice creams are frozen below -3 degree Celsius. Your freezer temperature may be between 0 and -3 degree Celsius and that is causing the problem. An ideal freezer should have temperature between -3 and -30 degree Celsius.

Ice cream soft

Ice Cream is the hardest thing to freeze in a fridge /freezer unit , you need a least 0 deg F
to harden ice cream. If the ice cream was satisfactory before the repair and the stat is set to max. it is possible you have an over charger refrigeration circuit.

I have a Roper RT21LMXKQ00 Freezer wont freeze

The problem is a defrost problem. The freezer coil has frost on it and thus restricts the cold air from flowing. This affects the refrigerator as it gets its cold air from the freezer. The ice will not make if the temperature is above 12*F and this also is why ice cream is like mush.

Kenmore refrigidaire, bottom freezer

It depends somewhat on the quality of ice cream. Some brands freeze easier than others. One reason is cheaper brands have more sweetener/sugar in them.
I think if your freezer is freezing water into ice cubes, it should freeze ice cream of good quality.
Try putting the ice cream where the ice cube tray is and verify ;this.
